About the mexican couple with conjoined twins who came here on a "visit" and "decided to stay" so their children could get better medical care? They couldn't speak a word of English. They did the surgery to separate the twins.I would like to know,Who paid for that surgery? My heart goes out to those sweet babies, but this surgery must have cost a fortune.
I guess the reason it bothered me so much was because a dear friend of mine's little boy(7)was recently diagnosed with leukemia. He spent a few weeks in the hospital getting chemo and other treatments. The last I heard, the bill was well over $100,000.My friend will probably lose her house to pay this hospital bill, they are far from rich.Even the nurse said to her "too bad you aren't illegal, then you wouldn't have to pay it".I think this is just sad.Our own citizens can't get the mediacl care they need without losing everything, but others can just come here and get it all for free.Sorry for the rant, but this has been on my mind all day.

i went to a school football game drunk and my principal found out so he told my school officer. the officer asked me if i had been drinking and i told him yes, although i did not tell him i consumed any alcohol but i told him id been drinking. so he made me call my mom to pick me up. he told me that i would be issued a citation and suspended on monday. first of all i thought an officer has to issue the citation at the moment you are caught, second off i told him id been drinking i did not say i consumed any alcohol though. anyway i was wondering if he can still give me a citation he has no proof besides the fact that i told him i was drinking, i did not get breathalized or anything

My 3 year old daughter was sexually assaulted by a 10 year old neighbor boy. That boy's grandmother is a former county judge and an attorney in town. The prosecutor informed me from the very beginning that he has a professional relationship with the grandmother of the offender. The judge recused himself due to the fact that he personally knows my family and he, too, has worked with the grandmother for many years. Should the prosecutor not do the same? Do I legally have the right to ask the prosecutor to recuse himself and allow the State Supreme Court to not only issue a special judge, but also a special prosecutor?

I need to get a passport and it took me two and a half months to get a certified copy of my birth certificate. I would like to get a photostat of it ( birth certificate) so that I'll still have a valid-legal copy in case this one ever gets lost, or the real one does not get returned to me.

Thank you!!!

Today, a New York Times article said that "the Senate Intelligence Committee — controlled by Mr. Cheney’s Republican allies — declared that there had been no basis for Mr. Cheney’s repeated claims that Saddam Hussein had harbored a Qaeda leader and had ties to the group"? I mean, is this admission by influential members of our party giving the Democrats ammunition to claim we weren't honest about why we attacked Iraq? Why would they hang our VP out to dry this way?

HAZLETON, Pennsylvania (Reuters) - Officials in the Pennsylvania town of Hazleton on Friday strengthened a local law designed to drive illegal immigrants away in a bid to defend the measure against legal challenges. Hazleton City Council passed a new version of the Illegal Immigration Relief Act, an ordinance first passed in July that was already one of the toughest anti-illegal immigrant laws in the country. It has since been copied by other cities where illegal immigration is blamed for rising crime and overburdened social services. The new law, approved by a vote of 4-1, increases pressure on local employers to avoid hiring illegal immigrants and raises fines for landlords who rent rooms to them. So many of you are trying to play the race card when it comes to illegal immigration. Let me set a few things straight here:

- Not all illegal immigrants who come to this country are Mexican, Hispanic, Honduran, Puerto Rican, etc. Some of them just so happen to be WHITE people, yes it's true.

- Just because I want to secure my country's borders doesn't make me racist.

- I don't want to get taxes taken out to support these people who aren't supposed to be here in the first place. No one pays for my food, housing, or healthcare - Why the fxck should I have to pay for theirs? They're not even an American citizen.

- You do know that there are thousands of ILLEGAL immigrants swarming into our country each day, right? How do you sleep at night, knowing that there could be hundreds of terrorrists/criminals/rapists, etc. coming to a town near you? We can't profile every single one of them. Something needs to be done = Set up an electric fence, and put the troops on our borders.

our government is considering giving them amnesty. Wow! So if hundreds of thousands of legal citizens just decide to no longer pay federal taxes, they will pardon us won't they?Is not paying your federal taxes any more illegal than entering the USA illegally? How could it be any more WRONG?
