Are your arguments so weak you have to resort to making up names like, “lib-tards” and “dummycrats” ? Isn’t that a little childish? I mean, my 9 year old does that.

Granted, prohibition didn't go so well the first time, but for the sake of our children, shouldn't we keep these awful substances out of their reach?

If Shiite death squads march through Baghdad shooting Sunni civillians, or if a roadside bomb goes off and kills 14 Americans, or if foreign hostages are beheaded why is that they will receive scant notice and Fox and no mention whatsoever on Hannity & Colmes? If Hannity spends the evening blathering about Natalee Holloway or the Duke rape case or that guy who didn't kill Jon Benet Ramsey why does that mean there was a tragedy in Iraq that day?

Probe: State trooper acted appropriately in disputed traffic stop

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- An internal investigation finds a Rhode Island trooper acted appropriately when he escorted a van of illegal immigrants to federal immigration authorities.

Trooper Thomas Chabot stopped the van for an alleged traffic violation on July Eleventh. The encounter led to deportation orders against the driver and 13 passengers.

Civil rights advocates had questioned why Chabot checked the passengers' identification. They also claimed that Chabot threatened the shoot the passengers if they tried to flee.

State Police Superintendent Steven Pare says an internal investigation shows Chabot never threatened the men.

Pare says the officer asked the van's passengers for any sort of identification. When all but two passengers couldn't produce I-D documents, Chabot escorted the van to federal immigration agents.

Immigrants make up a bigger percent of our population than anywhere else on Earth (except perhaps Canada and Australia). If tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to be free was so bad, how did America get to be the world's leading power? (Lord, I hope you don't say 'because they came from Europe'.)

Assuming all illegal immigrants left the country and re-applied legally (and we had a large enough quota to accomodate them) wouldn't America be even richer overall and more powerful...just as it has always done when immigrants came? If so, then why go through the exercise of deporting and re-applying?...why not just a small fine (if you require some sort of punishment) and get on with it?

ok, pay attention i'll only say this once. I have a very good friend from honduras. this is what he told me about illegal immigrants.

they come here, work for cash and take just enough to live on and send the rest home. since the mexican economy is severly lacking compared to ours. 1 us dollar = 11 pesos, they work here for a few years and go home.

with the currency conversion a man can live like a king.

and that is the bottom line.

To me gun control is a steady hand. Guns don't kill people, people with guns don't kill people, people kill people. My dad carries a gun and guess what, he's never killed anyone. In fact, my dad's guns have killed less people that Ted Kennedy's car. I can set a pistol on a rock in the middle of a desert, and it will stay there forever without hurting or killing anyone unless some dingbat picks it up and shoots someone with it. So why are guns dangerous? They aren't, they can only be as dangerous as the people using them. Britain and Austrailia have banned firearms completely and their crime rates have skyrocketed. Crooks and criminals realize now that citizens are unable to defend themselves and prey upon them without fear. Of course in Britain if you even defend yourself, you're going to prison too! How screwed in the head the British government be? That makes me want to blow up parliament like in the movie 'V for Vendetta'. - to be continued.
