I googled 'michigan drunk driver bartender responsibility' and came up with no specific laws although there are several 'in general' articles on host responsibility.
It is a widely accepted concept that a host or bartender can be held liable for serving someone to the point of intoxification. In Michigan the blood alcohol limit is .08%.
There are a couple options for you as host: You could run a taxi service, picking up and driving home guests that are likely to over induldge; or you can collect keys at the door with the understanding that anyone who drinks too much is invited/required to stay the night; and of course the best best is to encourage that party-goers bring a designated driver. Michigan drunk driving laws are tough, and it is widely accepted that you as a host can be held civilly responsible. Even more so, how would you feel if a guest left your home drunk and killed someone? It is not only the individuals duty to drink responsibly, it is also the hosts duty to host responsibly. Have a slumber party, pitch tents. Party on Garth.

Make it housewarming slumber party if you are that worried!!
Seriously though, I live in Michigan as well, and I would not let any of my friends drive after they have been drinking a lot. The cops are everywhere!!

The Dram laws include you as a liability. If your guest kills someone drunk.......make sure your homeowners insurance is paid up!

I don't know any of the specifics, but you CAN be held both criminally and civilly liable - period. (And it doesn't matter the age of those invloved, and yes you could lose your house in a civil suit.)
