I have many cassette tapes that I would like on cd. Is it illegal to download the songs from free sites if I have already purchased the material in another format? I don't think I should have to buy something twice because technology has changed. Does anyone know the answer to this?

What do you think that people in jail need to have less or none of? My vote is internet access or privileges. What's yours. Do you speak from inside prision or outside looking in? Who makes these decisions?

So did one man out smart and embarass the CIA so badly that they just gave up or is that portion of the show over so we can start a new man hunt for justification to invade someone else who doesn't have WMD ?
Other reports suggest AlQuadia could not have pulled off an operation as big as 9/11 - US inteligence seems to only fit the forign office and it's plans of corperate expansionisim doesn't it.

I bought a camera and an ipod, I know I can get the tax back, but have no idea where. I heard there is an office in NYC and since I am spending there a few days before I depart, I was thinking it would be better to do it there, not at the airport..thank you

In brief, we have found that there is substantial evidence the President, the Vice President and other high ranking members of the Bush Administration misled Congress and the American people regarding the decision to go to war with Iraq; misstated and manipulated intelligence information regarding the justification for such war; countenanced torture and cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment and other legal violations in Iraq; and permitted inappropriate retaliation against critics of their Administration.

I think all the arguing and name calling from both sides is childish and only hinders progress and change for the better. ex: Calling someone a neocon or libtard. Seeing people in their 40's call the other party names is pretty embarrassing, and so is not acknowledging that people's views will not always be the same as your own. Anyone agree?

I cannot remember a time in this country (and I have lived here for 54 years) when the country has been so divided. The poor are getting poorer, the rich richer. New Orleans is still a disaster zone one year after the storm, the conservatives use the word liberal as if you are a traitor if you do not vote republican, they use hot button issues to garner votes such as abortion, prayer in schools etc because they need to deflect the big oil and insurance companies rip-offs, the price of housing is out of reach for all but the wealthiest. This is not the America I grew up in, where real values meant helping the most vulnerable among us. When big oil for instance is making outrageous profits, and we do not even encourage to any serious degree the development of electric cars which we have had the technology to make for decades to keep us dependent on foreign oil for the oil companies best interests, you decide on how well GWB is doing as a Uniter. I think not.

Lincoln tossed people in jail without trial for disagreeing with his government. Roosevelt opened concentration camps in the US and threw US citizens into them.

Lincoln shut down disloyal newspapers and took funds out of the National Treasury to give to private individuals.

Roosevelt attempted to pack the Supreme Court with judges who supported him so he could override Congress and destroy the seperation of powers.

How can you people ***** about Pres. Bush's violations of the Constitution, but swoon over Lincoln and Roosevelt when they did even worse?
