If it is wrong then why do we let so many dems get away with it. Do we need to start turning them in?

I think our President is just great and I would never think of killing him.

Yes. In fact, if you were to argue (you don't seem like you would judging from the fact you said you wouldn't kill him) that the constitution allows you the freedom of speech, Congress has made a few amends to that section of the document: 1) It is an arrestable offense to scream "bomb" or "fire" in a theater, air plane, and the like if it is not true. 2) It is illegel to threaten the Presidential figure. There is one more, but it's not so applicable.

I'll get back to you after a go look up "assinated".

In the meantime, law enforcement has little or no sense of humor about someone threatening the life of a sitting president.

"Assassinated", not "assinated". Hmm, not a very smart thing to do. Plus, presidents can be impeached, or resign or simply a new president will arrive, you don't have to assassinate anyone. Lay back...

Yes its illegal to threaten the present in any shape or form. The Secret Service would have lots to say about it they could force this site to shut down.

it is not illegal to say "i think someone should assasinate george bush because he is a bad president."
it's more questionable when you say, "on september 18th, i'm going to assasinate the president, and then we will be rid of such a horrible leader!"
don't ask me why, but freedom of speech extends pretty far. which is a good thing, and don't let anybody tell you different.

To get closer to answering your question with some reference material, I offer you the following web page that will give you the 'U.S. Title" number that addresses the law and a brief description of some of the elements that must be present for it to be a violation.

If it isn't it should be. If you don't like the president that's what elections are for. Sometimes you loose. Get over it.

Yes, it is. Any mention or suggestion is against the law. Such a thought is best to be kept to yourself.
