I cannot remember a time in this country (and I have lived here for 54 years) when the country has been so divided. The poor are getting poorer, the rich richer. New Orleans is still a disaster zone one year after the storm, the conservatives use the word liberal as if you are a traitor if you do not vote republican, they use hot button issues to garner votes such as abortion, prayer in schools etc because they need to deflect the big oil and insurance companies rip-offs, the price of housing is out of reach for all but the wealthiest. This is not the America I grew up in, where real values meant helping the most vulnerable among us. When big oil for instance is making outrageous profits, and we do not even encourage to any serious degree the development of electric cars which we have had the technology to make for decades to keep us dependent on foreign oil for the oil companies best interests, you decide on how well GWB is doing as a Uniter. I think not.

Neither, his opponents don't want to unite. You don't remember the country SEEMING so divided. It has always been so. New Orleans is a disaster zone because LOCAL officials are mismanaging recovery. Every other city that has ever been hit by a hurricane has recovered more rapidly with much less federal assistance.

Bush is not the problem it is that the liberals are getting more and more liberal. Look at what happens in there own party it is sick look at how they are two faced in everything they do. One example, George Allen makes a perfectly honest joke and it ends up being racist and he is ostracized over and over even after he has apologized at least ten times from my count, yet Hillary Clinton makes a clearly racist joke and never apologizes and nothing is said. Joe Biden makes a clearly racist joke and nothing is said, although he did apologize once. Liberal have even gone as far as electing someone who is clearly racist Senator Byrd was a member of the KKK for how many years and has admitted it numerous times and never publicly denounced the KKK. There are many problems with this country, and Bush might even be the cause of a few of them, but if you want to find the real culprits and fix the problem look to the liberals.

Both. He divided when it came to the war in Iraq but he's united them when it comes to how dumb he is.
