My mother married a man from Bangladesh (don't ask me I after 10 years still don't know why a hispanic woman would marry a man so different) and now since he received his citizenship less then a year ago filed for divorce and also wants 50% of the share of the house (which he didn't put any of the downpayment plus didn't go on the loan) plus all the credit card bills.

over $200 billion of foriegn gold was under the trade centers. most of it was owned by Kuwait. I have not heard that it was given back.

Haliburton went from $2 a share before the war to around $80 a share during the war.

Has it all been about money?

and here is a possible conspiracy theory:
Some high ranked official in the US is somehow connected with a high ranked official in Iran.

reasons: Iran has had only 2 main enemies in the last 15 years- The Taliban government and Saddam Hussein.
-while the US was seaching through caves in Afganistan they somehow managed to overthrow the Taliban government. The Taliban government did not support Osama Bin Laden, in fact they restricted him from doing any terror activities.
-Iraq had no WMD's but we invaded and took it over anyways.

now Iran's two biggest enemies have been taken down.

what is going on?

I am writing a novel about Lincoln and am interested in what kind of man you think he was, what was his personality, what did he stand for, why should we remember him, what were his strong points or weak points?

How could anyone rejoice over someone's death even before that person has actually died ? I don't think any religion can support or condone that kind of behaviour.

Only two things are sure in life, death and tax. So why don't they let Castro die before they bury him. Sickening sight it was.

Anyway, that was my observation.

If not, can two people agree to be engaged in a fight, through signing injury/death waiver, in order to settle a dispute?

Personally, I don't see why not, it is just like an amateur boxing match where an opponent would be liable to the death/injury of the opponent due to the waiver. The apparent goal is to duke it out, but the ultimate goal is the fight to death in order to settle a dispute. This might be a way to get around anti-dueling law.

What is the difference between Hizbollah and Hezbollah in terms of religious affiliations, geographic focus and objectives? I thought I understood the distinction, but they seem to be used interchangably in articles on the conflict in Lebanon. I thought the two groups were distinct, but I am beginnig to wonder if it is just two different spellings for the same organization. This is a serious question. I'm not looking for a bunch of anti-Muslim ranting. Thanks.

THE MILITARY USES TENT CITIES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT, SO DOES THE PRISON SYSTEM,, SO WHY NOT BUILD A TENT CITY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESERT AND JUST KEEP COLLECTING ILLEGALS AND PUT THEM THERE FOR DEPORTATION, THEN PUT THEM ON A BIG TROOP TRANSPORT AND DROP THEM OFF WAY DOWN SOUTH,, IT WOULD BE COST EFFECTIVE, AND IF OUR BRAVE YOUNG AMERICANS CAN LIVE IN THEM SO CAN A BUNCH OF ILLEGALS

Freedoms are slowly taken away, government intervenes in every aspect of life, and the actions of majority of the elected officials don't seem to reflect the opinion of majority of polls respondents. Government seems to be more active and successfull manipulating the public opinion rather than solving the problems. Are we still a democracy?

I was just informed this morning that my fiance will be deploying to Iraq on Sunday, Aug 6th. He's stationed at Schofield in hawaii, and I'm in PA. The last we saw each other was June, and his tour is 13 months. I just wanted to know if anyone out there could help me....wives, girlfriends, boyfriends, husbands....who have gone through this. Right now I'm just numb and really don't know what to think. We knew this was coming, but now that it's here, it's so much harder to accept. I just need some sort of advice as to what I could do to help ease this pain I'm feeling.

I have been a law student for the last 3 years and have been studying for the bar all summer--not much time. Plus I work at a law firm as an independent contractor, so I am paid in cash and I'm supposed to report that myself. Does anyone know how the IRS know how much I made? Does my boss have to tell them what he's given me if he can remember? I think its getting kind of late in the year being august and all, so quick help is appreciated.

this idea that all people somehow are smart enough or healthy enough to care for themselves leaves millions of americans un-protected.
THE welfare system does a poor job of meeting the needs of people with low intellegence and poor health ..
SOME people do not learn to read or write and it is because they are born un-able to learn these skills . SLOW learners and others never get as good an education as some also .remember THE INTELLEGENCE of people is mesured with an average of 100 points IN an I.Q. test
That means for every one above 100 more people also are below 100 .
THIS means some people that do not crasp reality are everywhere .MONEY has made stupid people the equal of others in a world where ability should rule .
WE have several generayions of politicians like bush who barely crasp some fundimental concepts but have risen to the top.
FOR them it is easy to say get more education or work harder and you will succeed.
they have never known real work or the struggles of most .
