How could anyone rejoice over someone's death even before that person has actually died ? I don't think any religion can support or condone that kind of behaviour.
Only two things are sure in life, death and tax. So why don't they let Castro die before they bury him. Sickening sight it was.
Anyway, that was my observation.

I am not pro-Castro, I only see the human side of it.

If you were a persecuted Cuban who had to flee your homeland because of the dictatorship of Fidel Castro, you wouldn't be so quick to judge the celebrators badly.

I did not see it. We have many varying views of Castro in the UK. However, no one should rejoice over the imminent death of anyone. I always hate that, too. One little message to all the people who answered your question - please please before you condemn a statesman make sure you know what you are talking out first. The people there are actually struggling when there is a drought because there are embargos on what can be imported into the country - some of these embargos are imposed by America. Most of the cars there are 1950s models etc. This does not mean to say that Castro is a good guy or a bad guy - only that the people are having to live by the way and laws of their country. How are you faring living by the ways and laws of your country? When I hear about things like this I am most grateful that I would not demean myself to rejoice at someone's imminent death.

Castro is a visionary, its no coincidence that he is the longest running world leader (even dictators tend to get picked off after a few years,) He gets a lot of bad publicity from the American Government because he led the people to displace the tin pot leader the american government wanted running cuba.
Yes there are human rights issues in Cuba but show me a country where there isnt? USA has the shame of Guantanamo Bay and thats before you look beyond the current decade. UK has the persecution of Irish Republicans in the Bloody sunday massacre.
The rejoicing of the Cuban exiles in Miami just show how intense the america media can warp the mind of even rational people.

You think that was something? Damn wait till it's official that Castro is dead, now THAT'LL be a party. OK let me explain this to you in a way you might understand, Castro to Cubans is kind of like Hitler is to Jews. He's a dictator who has put Cubans through a lot of ****. If you were Cuban you would be out there celebrating too. As for me, I hope he croaks soon (if he hasn't already). I'm half-Cuban so I'm not speaking out of my *** and I've actually been to Cuba and I know the crappy lives the people there lead and it needs to end.

I think you maybe know very little of Castro and his regime in Cuba, if you did, you'd understand why they are like they are there at the moment! He has a bad record for breaches of Human Rights and has run the country under the rules of so called communism, with a lot to be desired, he caused a major upset in the 60's with the missile crisis as well! He is a dictator and the country needs to be freed

Regardless of what a person has done in their life... Cheering at the thought of death to an individual, is no different than those terrorists who flew our Planes into our buildings.... No regard for human life is barbaric, no matter how you look at it!

Would you feel the same if you were a Yugoslav who had been persecuted by Milosevic? I think it is the same with Castro.
