If you are writing a novel you better get your research from legitimate sources, not Yahoo, which is basically all opinion. One comment about Lincoln is that the man was more heart than politican as he lost half the country to do what was right.

How Novel.
Able had a syndrome , which escpes my mind now, that gave him he tall , long arem and legs look, it made his face on the large side and a big head. Perphaps that is why people listened to him. If he hadn't been shot, he might not of lived much longer anyways. He wasn't the most popular president.
Some think the civial war was all about saving slaves,
The main reason for the Civil was economical. The west needed the sount ports. The ctoton from the south etcc.
It was more of an economical war. Freeimg tje Slwaves is also an after though
It is amazng the south still hange on to some ofthis.

HE WAS AN INTELLIGENT MAN. HE CHANGED THE LAWS OF THE COUNTRY IN ORDER TO GET SLAVERY ABOLISHED. WHICH AS WE ALL KNOW STARTED THE CIVIL WAR. CAN YOU REALLY BLAME POOR PEOPLE FOR WANTING CHEAP LABOR? SINCE THAT WAS PRETTY MUCH ALL THAT WAS IN THE SOUTH, THE REALLY RICH AND THE REALLY POOR. AND LETS NOT FORGET THE SLAVES IN THE WEST-THE ASIANS AND MEXICANS BUT NO ONE EVER TALKS ABOUT THEM NOW DO THEY ITS ALL ABOUT THE BLACKS.

If he were president today, he'd be called a fascist.
He made tough decisions in crises that saved the country, and it wore him down.
Of course, having an insane wife doesn't help.
