I once saw a really sad video on Truthout.org where a reporter was talking to an Oklahoman about how the republican agenda he supported was hurting him financially. The reporter said, "Can you consider voting for your pocketbook, could you consider thinking about it?" And the man said, "Yes, I could think about it... No, I can't, I'm a republican." True story.
We are unschooling our kids so they don't get indoctrinated in the schools and it is amazing how they continually challenge everyone I think is none.
What you say about learning is so true; my parents' foster daughter struggles to learn because, heck, her childhood was a nightmare of crack and alcohol addiction. No one was teaching her her letters or anything else. Everything is a struggle for her to this day.
And, that's just the beginning. We have a system wherein most of the wealth we produce is taken and given to others who don't work, but supposedly had the idea, or put up the money. This supposedly entitles them to most of the fruits of another's labor. Even so-called educated people accept this form of slavery, hoping against hope that one day they'll be the one stealing the wealth another has created.

Reality is big as life, and I am proud of our President, the way he stays on top of things...
I have a problem with some welfare recipients, since there are so many that work the system so they can remain hanging around on their lazy asses while we, the hard working, support them.....They need to face "reality" as you speak of, and w-o-r-k like the rest of us! If theres a real disability, then by all means, but theres too much deception!
Slow learners???? Theres education at many levels, and, theres a job for everyone, different organizations even help the mentally challenged & handi-capped to get paying jobs.
Your "question" has no basis, but, since Im at work, slaving away, I decided to enlighten you on what I thought about it!!
Have a nice day!

I don't really agree with your premise.
Some who is IQ 70 is mentally retarded and they may have genetic markers (down syndrome) or may have had problems with birth trauma or oxygen deprivation. Yes, they need help.
But someone who's IQ 95 could do better if they tried. So I don't buy the idea that they deserve as much as someone with IQ 115.
However, I do think that we, independent of IQ, should have a world in which everyone gets what they need. And that people should be able to take on as much responsibility as they're capable of .
But as far as answering your question: Yes, Bush is out of touch.
