Why are people using the quasi biblical term 'Naysayers'? I'd had it with 'Evil-doers' but this baby takes the cake.

For years I’ve heard how the Kennedys got their wealth from bootlegging whiskey. And how Joe wanted to help re-shape America through his children entering politics.

But how many of you realize that the Bush family got filthy rich through Prescott Bush (that’s George W’s grandfather) financing and supporting Adolf Hitler? That Prescott, until our own government shut him down, was a local supporter of Hitler? And this man wanted to re-shape America through his children?

Yes, it’s a fact of public record.

I was recently discharged from a job. I feel that it was due to certain unethical and possibly illegal actions by the company I recently witnessed. I think they fabricated a reason to fire me.I filled for unemployment. But unfortunately, my old boss has made some false claims, so I plan on appealing it.
Now one thing that was written in here is “IC-22-4-15-1(d) states that discharge for a breach of duty in connection with the work, reasonably owed an employer by an employee, is disqualifying.” What does this mean exactly?
Also I noticed that is slightly different then what was written on Indiana’s website which states “(8) incarceration in jail following conviction of a misdemeanor or felony by a court of competent jurisdiction or for any breach of duty in connection with work which is reasonably owed an employer by an employee.”. It seems to be out of a bigger section and slightly reworded. Does this make nay difference? Shouldn’t they be quoting me the exact law as it is written?

Does this sound like the bush administration?
Does this sound like todays republicans?
1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism - Fascist regimes tend to make constant use of patriotic mottos, slogans, symbols, songs, and other paraphernalia. Flags are seen everywhere, as are flag symbols on clothing and in public displays.
2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights - Because of fear of enemies and the need for security, the people in fascist regimes are persuaded that human rights can be ignored in certain cases because of "need." The people tend to look the other way or even approve of torture, summary executions, assassinations, long incarcerations of prisoners, etc.
3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause - The people are rallied into a unifying patriotic frenzy over the need to eliminate a perceived common threat or foe: racial , ethnic or religious minorities; liberals; communists; socialists, terrorists, etc.

4. Supremacy of the Military - Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized.
5. Rampant Sexism - The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution.
6. Controlled Mass Media - Sometimes to (sic) media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common.
7. Obsession with National Security - Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses.
8. Religion and Government are Intertwined - Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed
to the government's policies or actions.
9. Corporate Power is Protected - The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite.
10. Labor Power is Suppressed - Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed.
11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts - Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked.
12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment - Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.
13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption - Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders.
14. Fraudulent Elections - Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections.

I was at the department store today at the mall and I saw a nice office chair with wheels on it, so I sat down. It was already close to the escalator when some 300 lb. fat chick pushes the back of my chair propelling me to the top of the escalator, which I fell down because the chair tipped over. I think about 30 people saw. I looked up when I was at the bottom but she was gone. I ran away and hid in the bathroom for 3 hours. Is there a way I can sue thestore?

i am stumped. i haven't noticed any new problems with illegal immigration over the past decade or so. i grew up in texas and have spent the last 4 years in california: i am considering that an exhaustive study of border states... so what gives? i am hoping for answers that will help me understand what problem we hope to address with legislation, because most of the debates i find are limited to whether someone should be here illegally or not. i don't care! if they're here, i want to know why it should matter to me enough to spend the money to deport them! because right now, the government is pitching the same plan from two decades ago that didn't work. and i'm not anxious to try it again, when it seems like we're stuck in the same position!

so my question to all of you is... why is immigration a priority for you? what do you hope the government can fix?

why was there no plane debris at all found at the pentagon? Why don't we see the surveillance video of the surrounding hotels and gas stations after it was confiscated? Why did the owner of the WTC towers take out terrorist specific insurance weeks before the attacks? Why did a steel structure collapse into pieces when it is proven this couldnt have happened by fire alone? Please, don't answer until you've researched this first. I will not accept uneducated answers.

People throw a fit about illegals, to me really, from what i've read here in yahoo answers, is nothing but a skin color issue. I mean how do they steal jobs? Do they sit in your desk while you go to lunch and when you come back they say "sorry, my job now". Most jobs are jobs that in reality, we wouldn't wanna do unless we really had to, and what about outsourcing, taking jobs millions of jobs away to other countries for cheap labor and escape high taxation, is that not criminal too? What about all the able bodied americans that take advantage of federal aid and don't contribute, have you ever heard of the SSI. Back to outsourcing for a second, what makes you think that your job won't become a target of outsourcing? Skin color is the issue here, not legal status, if my family were to be illegal, you'd probably wouldn't have much of a problem with us. Go ahead and put your links up, i'm not gonna look at the right wing propaganda, thanks for your answers.

With all the crap that is going on in the world, it is somewhat scary to turn on the news. It seems that we are making enemies at an alarming rate. That is why I wanted to hear your thoughts and opinions on the Middle-East crisis... and better yet what do you think is the best solution? Please keep this civilized... there is a lot of hate all ready in the world.
I would specially love to hear the opinions from people of the Middle-East.

Saw an NCIS episode where Medal of Honor receipient wanted to be arrested for supposedly killing his buddy in Iwo Jima. My question is in regards to the respect given this receipient, from active duty military. Do they really still come to attention and salute when they recognize the medal/receipient? Does this method of respect differ between branches?

Okay, based on many responses to my last list and question. She swigs beer from a can or bottle. Wipes mouth on sleeve. Gets stoned at every gathering. Wears only black. Has everything pierced. Laughs like a hyena. Farts and thinks it's funny. Swears like biker. May be a biker. Doesn't own a dress. May not own panties or bras. Can't remember the names of all her lovers. May not be able to remember if she had this lover before. Shouts, doesn't just talk. Talks freely about her best bj's. And all the while she thinks she is really hot. So now do you agree with my list?
