I guess it would take too much courage.

Are they afraid they'll have to look fact in the face?

Sorry, but I don't really need to. I have degrees in Geology and Reservoir Geology, I keep up on scientific journals, and have the educational background to make an informed decision. So... no I don't feel a need to watch left wing rhetoric from a known liar trying to politicize and polarize an issue with half truths. I get enough of that when I turn on the news. Sorry you've been so gullible to believe everything they tell you is "factual". I assure you, it isn't.

I must say I love how Al Gore is always right there on the cutting edge telling us what is wrong or how he helped to make everything better. Remember now, this is the guy that invented the Internet. At least according to him, and so we all owe him a big fat thank you for bringing all of us together on here to discuss things like we do. Also, global warming is no new thing, most of us educated people have been hearing about it for awhile. Its not some ground breaking thing he came up with here. Not to mention why see it, Al Gore is just about the most boring person in the world, and I sincerely hope that democrats will be smarter (not likely) than to put him up for election in 2008. Not that Hilary would be better, but at least she has some personality.

The Earth has had ice ages, they were cooling periods, between them were warming periods. This has been going on for all of Earth’s 4 billion years.

The Earth is going through a pole shift right now. A pole shift is when the magnetic poles swap polarities. During pole shifts the magnetosphere is weaker and more of the Sun’s rays strike the Earth, this causes extra heating of the Earths surface, and makes global warming more pronounced.

These are natural cycles of the Earth. We puny stupid humans can no more stop or even reduce a natural cycle of the Earth, than the man in the moon. This 9th grade science, and one would think that scientists and politicians would be better educated, but it seems that this not so, and they could remember 9th grade science class too.

I've seen the flick. It's popular hogwash. :) It's always BEEN disputed in major scientific circles. But Mr. Gore and Company choose to IGNORE such things, to make a case that does not really exist.

The list goes on and on. This is nothing more, than a trend that occurs every few thousand year. YES; mankind has raised the overall temperature, but only slightly, in the scheme of things. NOTHING we can do as a people, will decrease the overall warming trend, until NATURE says it is over.

Now, will people actually BELIEVE this? No. Not while Mr. Gore and the Popular Press sling pseudo science in their faces to GREAT effect.

Funny? I saw Gores movie, I'm conservative. I'm not persuaded. The scientific community doesnt agree on this issue. Personaly Im not convinced either way. Im not an expert in this field, I listen to both sides of the argument and both are compelling and have valid points. Heres what I think is funny; people that jump on the band wagon from either party because they refuse to hear BOTH sides of the debate. The liberals jump to defend Gore because thats their platform. The conservatives jump to debunk it because thats their platform.

Anyone that actually is more concerned about truth instead of political bandstanding would take the time to actually LISTEN to both sides. Theres no disputing that both positions leave questions.

I wouldn't waste any money on the movie. I already know what they are going to talk about...OH MY GOD THE WORLD IS GETTTING HOTTER AND ITS ALL THE RIGHTS FAULT...and to Dennis Miller: There's a lot of differing data [about global warming], but as far as I can gather, over the last hundred years the temperature on this planet has gone up 1.8 degrees. Am I the only one who finds that amazingly stable? I could go back to my hotel room tonight and futz with the thermostat for three to four hours. I could not detect that difference."

You of course have been ingesting the kool-help. The scientific objection to international warming is that it is not guy-led to because it is being purported by using the liberal spin gadget. Al Gore has been attacked for his use of a private jet because of fact it is hypocritical to his very own place.

Lmao, it's not like liberals are streaming to see it either. Gore uses the michael moore prototypical approach to mockumentary film. And, from what I've seen and heard from "experts" on both side of the aisle, fact has nothing to do with it.
