People throw a fit about illegals, to me really, from what i've read here in yahoo answers, is nothing but a skin color issue. I mean how do they steal jobs? Do they sit in your desk while you go to lunch and when you come back they say "sorry, my job now". Most jobs are jobs that in reality, we wouldn't wanna do unless we really had to, and what about outsourcing, taking jobs millions of jobs away to other countries for cheap labor and escape high taxation, is that not criminal too? What about all the able bodied americans that take advantage of federal aid and don't contribute, have you ever heard of the SSI. Back to outsourcing for a second, what makes you think that your job won't become a target of outsourcing? Skin color is the issue here, not legal status, if my family were to be illegal, you'd probably wouldn't have much of a problem with us. Go ahead and put your links up, i'm not gonna look at the right wing propaganda, thanks for your answers.

Anyone who is educated enough to use a computer has no reason to fear illegal immigrants are coming after their job.

Your conclusions are incorrect. Ask a majority of people in the United States why they are against illegal immigration, and most will tell you because it against the law. This idea about jobs is an invention of the media and certain government types in an attempt to make the issue seem trivial. It does not matter to me what color your skin is, it doesn't matter what your religion is, and it doesn't matter what country you originate in. If you come to this country through legal channels I will welcome and embrace your presence here. America is after all a culture built on immigrants and diversity. However, if you sneak into the country, you are breaking the law, and also showing a complete disrespect for other immigrants who are not. The simple fact is that if we are unwilling to enforce this law then we shouldn't enforce any, because to do so is total hypocrisy.
As for outsourcing. Well I have lost a job due to outsourcing. Such is life in a capitalist society. I don't fret over this fact because I obtained even better job as a result. Guess what, this job was insourced from Japan.

The Jobs you claim MOST americans wont do is BS. The simple fact is Americans can't do those jobs at the pay Illegals will do it for. Now you say well thats simply Democracy in action. Well Most Americans I know don't live 4 and 5 families in one single household. You mention Outsourcing. We have businesses going overseas, going South of the border. With all these jobs leaving and MILLIONS of Illegals entering our country taking jobs. What happens when there are no more jobs???? Our nation Lived through One GREAT Depression so Don't think it can't happen. Then who gets the jobs???? Illegals or Legal Americans.

As a technical professional who's job was outsourced after 10 years of loyal service to a large company I can tell you that I definately believe that outsourcing is crimminal.
As one who lives in an area of the country where there is a *huge* population of illegal immigrants I can tell you from the bottom of my heart that the problem is definately *not* skin color nor is it a fear that illegal immigrants are taking American jobs. The problem is that illegal imigrants are sucking our social services dry without paying one red cent into the system. They send their kids to our schools while not only refusing to learn english, but expecting us to provide an education in spanish. They use our emergancy rooms for their basic health care, expect the tax payers to pick up the tab for delivering their multiple children and then use the fact that those children were born on US soil to increase their payments from various programs designed for the welfare of underprividleged children. All the while they expect me, a guy who comes from a long line of hard working taxpaying citizens, to cheerfully pick up the tab. They make no bones about treating me less than politely in public and generally putting out the vibe that it is OK to do so because I am one of "those evil white guys", and if that wasn't insulting enough, people like you call me a racist when I speak up and say that it is simply not right.
Personally, I have no problem at all with legal immigration. Immigration implies that one wants to become a part of the country that one is immigrating to. For the most part it appears to me that a large number of illegal immigrants comming from south of the border have no real desire to become a part of this country, but rather have a desire for us to fund their cultural take over and are quite quick to play the race card aginst anyone who does not share their worldview. To me this is not immigration, it is a silent invasion.

1) Immigration: Illegal immigration = illegal. They should not be here. Period. We already allow millions of LEGAL immigrants - I'm fine with that. Armed robbery = illegal, illegal immigration = illegal. No difference as far as I'm concerned.
2) Job security: There is not and should not be anything called job security. I see a job as an even exchange of labor for money. If I do a good job, my job lasts. If I do crappy work, my job is gone. Since when does human rights include being a lazy, good for nothing slob keeping your job? Oh, well there are union and state/federal jobs where being worthless means high pay and job security, but in "real world" jobs, one must work hard for their pay. It's the "entitled" mentality that's forcing jobs out of the country. We're only guaranteed the pursuit of wealth USA, not guaranteed a job, security, health benefits, etc.

You want to stay in your bubble world and NOT face the facts that there are CRIMINAL ILLEGAL ALIENS, IF you don't believe me why don't you just look it up yourself?? Again you are scared to find out your wrong. As a woman I hope you do NOT fall prey to an ILLEGAL TRESSPASSER. Cause the link I gave you can be cross checked and I did cross check alot of the ILLEGAL ALIENS names and guess what......they were actual criminals that committed some HORRENDOUS crimes........one illegal attacked 2 NUNS!!! Beat them and raped them and strangled one of them to death with her own Rosary Beads......If there was secure borders this crime would have never happened!!! The only crime those 2 nuns committed, was taking an evening walk!!!!!!!! And you want to call people racists for wanting the criminals out of our country???!!!!!!! Stay in your bubble then. 1 MILLION SEX CRIMES COMMITTED BY ILLEGAL ALIENS!!!! I don't know what you think, but ME? That's 1 million too friggin many!!!!!!!!!! If they weren't here those 1 million victims would NOT have been victims!!!!!! So I guess what they say about "ignorance is bliss" huh french?? Peace out ........stay in your bubble......

Actually, whenever I get up from my desk I call 5's just in case...and when I go to lunch I hide my chair and password protect my computer just in case!!!!
I agree that it's probably more a race issue than anything else, but I do think that it's unfair for people who come here the right way and have to worry about obtaining citizenship, when others are doing it illegally. It just doesn't seem right...and we should have more border security because of terrorism...but what exactly that entails, I don't know...

If you were poor and didn't speak English, skin color wouldn't matter. English second language services in schools are expensive and the poor cover very little of the cost of their services like education. We pay the rest. Our schools in areas where illegals concentrate are failing from the overcrowded and underfunded system. In LAUSD, which dropped from one of the best school systems in the nation 30 years ago to one of the worst today, I have seen it estimated that 40% of the students are illegal immigrants or children of illegal immigrants.
That can't help but have an impact to the school system, and the rest of us who send our children there and pay to subsidize the children of illegals, deserve better education for our own children.
Their better life is at our expense and our children are paying the price with their future.
Call it racism if you like.
