Hey Fans

This question is one of opinion. After just watching a documentary on the end of World War Two, i've been thinking about its last point.

After the Nurembourg Trials, the Hague held trials against several British and American commanders accused of war crimes.
Most of the criminals were men who had liberated the Death Camps and having seen the horrors of industrial extermination, snapped, and executed the Waffen-SS guards on the spot.

My question is:
Was it right, in your opinion, that the officers were shot for killing their German Captives. Was this the right thing to do to prove our Libertarian credentials?

NB
I've asked this in the History part, but itll be interesting to see what the Politics forum believes

On a 50 year price study gas even at $3.00 per gal is lower than the enflationary curve.

Example Levie's $3.99 to $52. 95 Check out the cost of living for1966-2006 and gas is cheap.

I'm thinking it is like the drug pusher in the movies . They gave us cheap gas to get us hooked.

Yesterday my friend told me that he was asked to put his hands up , get out of his car and kneel down before the police on the ground. After searching the car and its documents, he was let free and was apologized to by the police.
But who will pay for his pain for he was like that for about 10 to 15 minutes and who will pay for the humiliation caused during that time as to many others saw him in that humiliating position.
The police dont have any right to humiliate people in this way. Dont you think so?

stem cell research? I can't take any more decisions that man makes!!!! I know -- you will say "well then, move somewhere else" --- can't afford to because George Bush screwed us over there too. Anyway, I need to know. Does everyone know how many thousands of people can be helped from stem cell research? Doesn't he realize that some paralized people could be cured through this process? Is he just trying to kill off all of us one at a time or what? He scares the hell out of me!!!!!

Saddam wasn't asked how many WMDs obtained after 1992 do you have. He was asked "how many are still in your country...period."

Liberal, anti-war, anti-US lemings believed him when he said "absolutely none". The liberals were wrong....as usual. And there may be even more WMDs to find hidden in Iraq and neighboring countries.

To Liberals: Please keep quiet while compentent men like Bush lead the country in this time of terror. Just sit back and let the officials elected by conservatives do their job. Let them take care of everything, because you're obviously wrong on most things.

I find it difficult to discern whether Bush is really that stupid, or if he's just a puppet in the pockets of certain corporations. Like Iraq... what the hell? And is he making somebody money by vetoing a stem cell research bill that 3/4ths of americans support? I find it hard to believe that he would support the killing of 10's of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan but not support stem cell research on MORAL grounds...

2006-07-21 08:13:45 · 20 answers · asked by Mike H 2 in Other - Politics & Government

Why does the world think that Israel is killing innocent people??
After all...hezbollah is hiding within the civilian population and then they say that Israel killed many civilians. Well, if they werent hiding were thousands of people live...then maybe innocent people wouldnt get killed.
At least Israel has targets and doesnt shoot at any building like Hezbollah.
For all of those people who say that Israel had no right to go into Lebanon after only 2 people were captured..your right.

The fact is that Israel is trying to destroy a known terrorist group that truely kill civilians on purpose.

I mean Israel isnt the one who blow themselves up in busy street corners or on buses.

They even offered peace many times but of course it eas rejected.

And now Lebanon is bi.tching to the U.N that they should call for a cease-fire. Well..if Lebanon would have killed Hezbollah when they had a chance then none of this would have happened.
I know im missing something...but o well
