That just shows us how ignorant and full of hatred people are, they think they're the only ones that deserve something good in this life.

There's lots of persons who want work but living from hand to mouth does take a toll on 'one's health and wellbeing after a few years as does being laid off from good paying jobs and the only alternative is'wallmart' type jobs and those being run by an 'agency' and as far as imigrants are concerned those that are allowed to 'enter' to work under the table with false i.d, pay taxes etc. but can;t claim anything and must go to 'black-market' doctors etc....and 'it's the government 'you' served without any thought blindly that is cashing in on 'cheap' labor and all 'you' had to do was obey orders like dig a hole ,wash the deck, peel some potatoes, etc. whle the rest of 'us' had/have families to provide for AND listen to the various ooos and owwwwsss that frequent the daily life of a growing family....

Gidget, if you posted verbatim what was received in the email, just think: you are dealing with a very angry and possibly bipolar American who himself does not have a command of the English language.
I love how people like this one talk all this garbage on the internet!
He should be commended for serving his country, but he's a pissed off ignoramus in the real world.
Write him back and tell him he should've stayed in the service; he's been too long in a society that tells him how to be every second of the day and cannot deal on the "outside." He sounds like a prisoner, not like a veteran.

Lazy people come in all shapes, colors and sizes. That's rather simple minded to just think American Indians or blacks or Hispanics or any minority, fall into that category. Why don't you grow up and contribute something positive to this country instead of spewing hate and bitterness???

After reading some of the answers, I decided I had to get involved in this. I hate talking about these type issues because it's an issue with LOT'S of gray area.
I understand this is a reprint of an email you received, either from an acquaintance or as the result of another question. While I don't agree with some of this veteran's opinions (obviously written in anger and frustration), I do have to say, when I moved from NH to Arizona, I encountered NAs (Native Americans) for the first time. I felt sympathy for the NAs plight, having their land taken away from them, forced to relocate to land no one else wanted... but then I saw how the NAs live here in AZ.
I live very close to several areas known as "nations" here in Metro Phoenix area and had contact with NAs on a fairly regular basis. Mostly (not all: I don't like generalizations) they live in small trailers on HUGE tracts of land. They lease this land (given to them by the US Government) to farming corporations and live off the land rentals. This basically means we have a LOT of idle NAs, soaking in irrigation canals in the summer and more often than not, quite inebriated. These are personal observations over a span of years, it's not like I drove through a reservation at the speed limit one time and based my opinion on that.
Before and after my own Army service, I worked in Landscaping (both installation and maintenance), often as the only English speaker on the workforce. At one property, our crew used to have a money pool as to what day of the week Immigration was swooping in to arrest another company's irrigation crew. Every week these helicopters would come in, men in 4 Wheel Drive trucks, etc, and the irrigation crew would start running into the hills. Then a bus would roll up and Immigration would be escorting all these guys out of the desert to get on the bus. The next week, that company would be back out there, with a whole different crew of guys. He'd get a couple of days work out of them until Immigration came back to remove THAT crew.
Immigration has gotten completely out of control and 5 years after Bush promised us "secure borders", they're coming over in greater and greater floods. Our county sheriff's people JUST picked up over 60 illegals, sitting in the desert, waiting for their coyote to come back with a van that runs. This illegal migration has to stop. Why can't they just stay in their own country and work to improve life THERE as hard as they work to sneak into THIS country?
As far as the answerer who said something to the effect, (The e-mailer) "... spent too many years following orders, he doesn't know how to think for himself", or words to that effect. NO U.S. Armed Service wants robots; they want dedicated, clearly thinking soldiers and Marines. The US spends WAY too much money training citizens to be killers, to settle for anything less than soldiers who can think on their feet, assess battle conditions and respond accordingly. You cannot learn to do that by simply "following orders" all the time.

Who cares? Cancel your email if you don't like replies.
How about the whole letter? Let us see that.
I could pick parts from statements you made too-and you would not like it.
I don't approve of it but again cancel your email if your so upset-Your campaigning against someone is just as bad.

Ironic that you're making fun of his spelling yet you can't spell r-e-s-o-r-t-e-d.
Oh, and making fun of specific users is against the rules. Reported!
