I believe most people around the world just want to be free and somewhat prosperous. With the power of the internet, could we collectively make make this happen? Any ideas?

These first 3 answers are lame and small minded. Coragryph, I understand and agree with much of what you say, however it is still pretty small minded to think starting anew would fix anything. We did that in the US a couple hundred yrs ago, and then, what about the rest of the world? Moshi-Right ON, you got it! And 313King-Awesome! Keep spreadin' it! I do hope to hear more from others. But then, like Coragryph has said, people only want to bicker, and really don't care to take the time to make a difference in this world (or something to that effect)

It would first require either getting rid of or someone effectively ignoring the thousands of political officials (and their armies) who are determined to control our day to day lives.

Great idea. But in the US we have a 98% incumbency rate for Congress, an organization which has a 28% approval rating. If we can't even find honest political officials to elect when we're given means to do so, what hope to people have to try and make things better when our governments are actively opposed to the idea?

See my question a few weeks back about wanting to start a new country, and see how few people even bothered to respond. But also look at topics where people are bashing opposite ends of the political spectrum, and see how many respond. Too many people just want to bicker and point fingers. And most of the rest are too busy with the own lives to want to try and change things for the better.

Using the internet we can only change the thoughts of some people. No leader totay of any country is honest and loyal to his people.
