For all the Brit-haters out their, we are not the root of the worlds evil.

The middle east was mainly ruled by the Ottoman empire, until the Great War gave most of it to the Allied Nations, mainly France and Britain.

To blame an entire reigons woes on an empire long-gone is frankly, pathetic. Many of the inhabitants today probably never think about what we did over their, seeing as though their hatred is aimed at Israel and America.

Yes, Israel was a mess up, we didnt sort it out properly. But we cannot be blamed for everything, whatever the anglo-phobes think

Oh sure, the British made some mistakes. You cannot, however, blame them for every problem in the world. Remember, the partition of India was thought of as a way of solving the very problem that exists there even to this day. The Indians now are the World's largest democracy, and the Pakistanis are eating twigs. (yes, I know that India is a subcontinent and not technically part of Asia)

Were it not for the stabilising influence of Britain, the Eastern Mediterranean would well be in worse shape than it is now. At least there is one constitutional democracy there. (Israel)

One has to look into what htose persons living there were doing there to 'earn' a living...and did the standerds overall go up inso far as health, education, government, etc. benefit these places ( since many did not exist on a map before just as ( ARABIA ) ON MOST MAPS PRIOR TO 1900 in the ''mid-east' and north africa....and so also with south america the islands AUSTRAILIA..etc....and most of those 'living' in these places were under constant war with each other and the 'empires' that 'colonized' took a side and eventually brought about some changes that benefited the remnant of those who survived...as always...

Let's all continue to blame everybody for things except the people who are actually responsible. You know who is responsible for all the terrorism? The terrorists.

History tends to be ugly. All countries, and all races, have made mistakes in both conquest and diplomacy. That doesn't mean Muslims are allowed to run around blowing up, kidnapping, and beheading people at will. Nothing justifies that. And as long as Muslims are going to keep carrying out inhumane acts of violence, their targets are going to continue to respond.

Oh only a little bit. But trully those countries run by the british are now the most modern and diplomatic. Israel and Egypt. Its the long run Muslim ones that are nuts.
