My 18 year old is working an 8 hour shift on July 4th; I seem to remember a law saying that "anyone" working on a federal holiday is to be paid double time; Is this correct? Time and 1/2? Please advise and give reference please, if possible!

Since he has prisoners sent to countries that allow torture in order to have them tortured and say 'we didn't do it' (called rendition), I was wondering if there was a similar reason he is using Cuba?

I think not because isnt the fact that we are supposed to be the good guys and have morals the only thing that seperates us from terrorist psychopaths or are american policies just as bad as what the terrorists do?

Is there going to be a lot of angry people when we start enforcing immigration laws again? Is a portion of all this attributable to enforcement failures through the years?

Ok I heard on the news that Saddam Hussein's wife and eldest daughter are among 41 people on the Iraqi government's most wanted list, along with the new leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, a top official announced Sunday. But why would the two be in the most wanted list in Iraqi. I mean what did they do wrong. Like did the two blow somthing up or did they kill some one?
What did they do wrong?

Either the Jerry Falwell Christian Right in the US, or the Islamist fundamentalists in Arab countries. If there is a vaccine for AIDS then people can have promiscuous sex without the risk of dying a horrible death.

The present administration has been working around the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
If, after over 200 years, we can't make democracy work in our own country, why would we expect it to work in a new, foreign country?

Hello you fine outstanding man who is no longer a living being. I am sorry to tell you this but no one will remember you after this week has passed. You are shot one day and die the next day and you will be buried in four days and forgotten forever. I looked at the newspaper today and on the front page was all about the singer Spears and her baby. Just below that they ask "Where is Michael Jackson and all about the American Idol. Your death rates news on the 6th page. Sorry you hard fighting Marine/Army men. You don't rate much. No one here in the states ( Outside family) cares about your sweat in Iraq. No one talks about it in the bars where the young people hang out. I, as a man who spent time in the military, will say I am sorry about the lies you were fed. You died for nothing. I am truly sorry you had to die. I would bet you had a lot to offer this country after you departed the military. Now I'm sure you have a lot to offer in heaven. Best to you.

There currently are two main domestic auto makers owned and operated in the US. Not too long ago there was three. However, Chrysler was bought by Daimler. With recent set backs to the "big two", Toyota and Honda have been making a play to become the top auto makers in the US. Do you think this is a long term negative for the US? The United States dominated the auto industry for decades and many other industries. Is that dominance being lost? What if the remaining US auto makers go bankrupt and the US is left with Toyota, Honda, and Daimler? Is Amerca stronger when it's citizens work in factories for foreign companies? Or is America stronger when Americans work for American owned and operated companies?

After watching a video called "Loose Change: 2nd Edition"
I am 100% convinced of the following:
1. Both World Trade Centers were not taken down by planes.
2. The Pentagon was NOT hit by a airplane.
3. United 93 was a hoax.
4. Most of the "hijackers" that were "killed" in the attacks are infact alive.
Plus MANY MANY more things that are too much to list.
Wanna see the truth if you already haven't? I promise this WILL change your mind about September 11th FOREVER.

If someone believes that every life is sacred, then how can a person who opposes a woman's right to choose abortion support state-sanctioned killing of criminals? Are justice and revenge the same thing? Explain your answers well, even if you use scripture or someone else's arguments to back up your position.

I'm trying to get custody of my daughter. The judge threw the spousal out after my ex admitted it, he also told me that if my ex drank and did drugs while he had our daughter that it was his buisness and for me not to worry about it. I was ordered to take parenting classes and my ex wasnt (and he was waiting to go to prison for drugs at the time) now I live in another state and the judge from before rufuses to transfer the case (because he has issues with me)
