Politics & Government - 22 June 2006

As recently as 1984, there still existed mutual respect and civility between Republicans and Democrats. Why the radical change? Why are we all so divided and combative? Was it always there but the internet and in your face media allowed the radicals of both parties to dictate party policy? I would prefer peaceful dialogue for the good of the whole country. Do you prefer the constant cat fight that politics as become?

I think it is. The government isn't doing anything effective to solve the problem of illegal immigration. In fact, they are making matters worse with proposals like a guest worker program. Making English the official language is just a way to pacify angry American voters, so that politicians can keep ensuring a steady supply of cheap labor for greedy American businessmen, who are betraying their country for profits.

When do you liberals suppose these weapons became unusable? In the near past or distant past? I hear that this chemical is deadly still today. Does a felon get a pardon for having old bullets in his gun? Do old bullets not kill as well as new bullets? Do you liberals not understand the black and white of illegal weapons and the possession of banned weapons? Is this another grey area for you bleeding heart liberals? Can you not be pleased by progress in the war on terrorism and the removal of deadly weapons getting in the hands of murderers like those who cut off the heads of innocent civilians trying to help rebuild a country and provide a better life for it's citizens? Putting emotions aside, this is my take on it.
(1) An embryo is growing from conception. Growth to me signifies that it is alive.
(2) It is not a bird embryo or a walrus embryo, but a human embryo. It follows (in my mind) therefore that it is a human life.

I believe that human life deserves to live. I find it interesting how many people are OK with keeping mass-murderers alive, but they will not allow innocent life to continue...simply because they could be inconvenienced by it. What's your take on this?

police came into our home and got my son out of bed and told him they wanted to talk outside once outside he asked to talk to his dad and they(police) told him no. We found out 3 hours later where he was. The Police station would and could not tell us anything about him or where he was. Dont us we as parents need to be informed of what is happening by the police . My son is only 16 and we have the right to be informed of whats going on before he is taken off. Our deaf daughter let them into our home but the Police never said anything to us we dont know if there was even a warrent for him. They just took him without a parents knowledge. IS THIS ACTUALLY LEAGAL FOR THEM TO DO? WHAT CAN I DO ABOUT THIS MATTER? WHO DO I REPORT IT TO?? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
