Since Tangerine doesn't know how to open a link:
During the 2002 election cycle, Republicans raised $68 million from those who made campaign contributions of $200 to $999. Democrats took in $44 million. From those who gave between $1,000 and $9,999, Republicans again out-raised Democrats, $206 million to $167 million. However, from those who contributed more than $10,000, Democrats raised $140 million to the GOP's $111 million. And among those who gave in excess of $100,000, Democrats collected $72 million to the Republicans' $34 million. Finally, from those who poured in more than a million dollars, Democrats took home a cool $36 million to the GOP's $3 million. (Source: Center for Responsive Politics)
So, the Republican Party raised a total of $384 million last election cycle to the Democrats' $350 million, but the GOP attracted 40 percent more individuals donors. In short, Republicans raised the most money from those who gave least...

LOL!! That's a great point, I hadn't read those statistics. I guess it's 'cause the Lib's have made a smoke and mirror's campaign suggesting that they fight for the "working man", and since the vast majority of the population makes less then 70K per year, that's who the Dem's try to appeal to. It makes them look good I suppose to bash people like me, who put themselves through school, worked hard, and now has a job well above the national average. It's a snow job. I've always thought that the major distinction between Dem's and Repubs is that Repubs believe it's the governments job to create and sustain a country where you can achieve happiness, while the Dem's of today believe its the governments job to try and provide it. If you work towards achieving your own happiness, I think you often fall into a higher tax bracket because of your ambition and work ethic. Good question, thanks!

Gee, maybe it has something to do with the fact that the Republicans favor the rich and screw over the poor. After all, the most generous donors to the Republican Party are major corporations, because the Republicans favor cutting laws protecting the environment and worker and consumer rights in the name of "deregulation". Also, it could have something to do with the fact that the Republicans cut the taxes of the rich so that the poor and middle class can bear the burden. It could have something to do with the fact that Republicans are in favor of doling out billions of dollars in corporate welfare, but favor cutting benefits for those who really need it. The Senators you mention may be wealthy, but at least they remember that not everyone else is.

Why then was the house this morning debating a bill to repeal the "Death Tax", a Republican term by the way. This tax only affects 6700 Americans. At the same time they refuse to do anything about a minimum wage, or even fully funding No Child left behind.
Once again they rely on smoke and mirrors to make their points, and refuse to do anything that would benefit the average American.

It is clever. Why could bill Gates and Warren Buffet care in case you develop taxes, they are already on the precise bracket, and function attorneys that could locate the loop holes. The adverse people on welfare must be particular their tests save coming. the middle type needs to maintain their happy little lives the way it truly is, and don't choose all of us taking extra of their money. a pair % right here and there, and that they could ought to sell their 4 mattress room and down grade to a three. In all honesty, it truly has no longer something to do with wealth. i comprehend a great sort of trailer park republicans, and center type, union, democrats.

I don't. I say Republican policies favor the rich and big business at the expense of average americans. Most politicians have money. They have to or else they couldn't put on a campaign.

Re-write your question: Why do Rich liberals refer to rich Republicans as though liberals are paupers? The answer can be found in any good dictionary. Look up the word 'hypocrisy'.
