the second stripper at the off campus Duke party did indeed tell police that the accuser was acting crazy and drunk and was only alone for 5 minutes, do you think there will be law suits flying left and right.

The police department witholding information. Interesting how these street level bureaucrats are accused of flubbing it all up.

Let's see, official misconduct on behalf of the police department and the district attorney's office (providing it was known). And the accuser as well.

I work at a truck stop where truckers come in who know absolutely zero English. I won't get into whether or not knowledge of English should be required for a regular license (I've driven in Quebec with little knowledge of French with little problem).

But a CDL license is different since you're driving a vehicle much heavier(up to 80,000 lbs) and truckers often have special requirements(ie. "trucks use right lane next 5 miles"). It's especially important where I live because signs like "Truckers:8% grade and winding curves next 8 miles. Use low gear" could cause a non English speaker's truck to turn into a 40 ton bomb without brakes if the driver has no clue what the sign means.

Currently, the Republican party is trying to convince former New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani to run for President 2008...I think it's a GREAT idea, do you? I know this article is going to illicit all kinds of "racist" responses, but not so fast!! Don't make the claim and run. Let's hear the arguement why this is racist. Also, before you start, take note of that other little sign in the window below the "order in English" one. Doesn't that little sign allow this business owner to operate his restaurant in any manner he (legally) choses?

(If you're too lazy to click the link, a guy in Philly is demanding customers order food in English. The other little sign I referred to says "Management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone" You know, you've seen it.)
