And is it morally okay since cops will rarely pull you over for that?

Yes. On occasion.
No. Because I am the cop that does the rare pull over.
Why. Because if I let you go by me, and you make it...I am wrong.
If I let you go by and you hit and kill someone...we are wrong.
You will go to jail and we will have to live with the consequences.

I heard in drivers ed that you can about 5-10 mph over the speed limit and that's okay.... but it seems that I always go way over the speed limit and i am looking in my rear view for cops. But really no matter what its still breaking the law. If it says 65 that's what it means

Here in Hawaii, the speed limits are artificially low (55 on most freeways) ... so I tend to do 65-68.
But, when home in CA, I still tend to do 65-68. In states where the speed limit is higher (AZ, for example), I'll do +2 (77 in 75 zone).

Go with the flow. As long as you are not drawing attention to yourself, it's usually safe to drive the speed everyone else is, be it 5, 10, or 15 mph over the limit.

If our government has ignored 20 million trespassers, why would it bother your conscience to do five over? I usually do 75 in a 60.
