If you grow up in a state, though you were born in another, you're "From" the state you grew up in. For instance, my mom was born in one state, lived in another, moved twice before finally settling in the state she's in now all by the age of 8. I wouldn't say she's "from" her birthplace state.

Plus, Bush's home is in Texas (Crawford). That's why he's FROM Texas.

You're saying if you live in Colorado and someone asks where you live, you reply your birthstate? That's...a different way of doing things, for sure. I think most people reply where they're currently living or at least where they've lived the longest...

I was born in Idaho and moved to Ohio when I was 5. I say I'm from Ohio, because that's the state that "raised" me. I have very little memory of Idaho and the state didn't make me who I am today. I was only born there because that's where my parents were stationed.

In the same way, Bush is from Texas.

Would you say that someone born in Cuba who moved to the US when they were very small isn't American? The place that raised you is where you're from. Birthplaces mean very little.

Oh jeezuz, yet another follower of the psycho innovations cult of Alec Stanley Baldwin and Rosie O'Donnel. you're all tethered to a similar psycho mothership. what's your information to boot your thoughts of hatred that are resembling a similar hatred that brought about that terrorist attack? in case you think of so ill of the yank government, I advise you progression to China so which you will discover genuine governmental oppression. you be responsive to, i won't be able to stand bill or Hillary Clinton yet my obvious distaste ends at accusing them of being evil sufficient or maybe entertain any ridiculous thought that even they might do something as vile as this. I observed video of two PLANES fly into the twin towers. I heard audiotape of the victims of 9/11 describe the adult adult males of Arab descent and describe how they hijacked with the container cutters, homicide the pilots and everybody else who have been given of their way. i've got heard the thoughts of the fortunate who survived the attack on WTC. Democrats and Republicans won't be able to agree on some issues. It does no longer advise they think of the different area is evil. Watch the action picture United ninety 3. efficient! the actual air site visitors controllers performed themselves. a number of the conversations have been taken verbatim from the conversations that the AC controllers had with the victims. And for God's sake, end listening to Rosie. She lost her marbles a protracted time in the past.

Excellant question. Can we add this to the lame reasons liberals use to say we should impeach him?

Hey, nice to see you can finally put something on here that doesn't sound so homophobic. Nice camo.

Dick Cheney is convicted of yet another hunting accident of where he shot his lesbian daughter in the face because she stomped her cute little foot and said...Daddy, I want to marry my lesbo lover and you are to pay for mah fancy wedding.

Duh...if Monkey Boy (BUSH) ever had a REAL
women he'd have NO idea of WHAT to do...
for he prefers men himself (Jeffy Gannon has
FREE ACCESS TO THE WHITE HOUSE...he's a professional
gay male prostitute who visits Bush ALOT....)

When will Bush come out & tell his sheeple he's gay?

How on earth did a $200/hour gay male prostitute get past post-9/11 White House security nearly every day for two years to get within spitball distance of George W. Bush?

Mr. President, did you have sex with that man? Bush has never had much of a poker face. He's easy to read... like when he was in the classroom getting the news that the World Trade Center had been attacked for the 2nd time... you could tell he knew exactly what was going on... well, in these photos, it looks like there's a little something going on with these two gays.

Hmmmm...Bush hugs Gay Jeff but refuses to hug Kathy Harris!

AND I THOUGHT YOU LIBERALS WERE SOOOO OPEN MINDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I reply with where I used to live. You can go deeper and specify that you were born in where ever. for example my cousin had a baby in Vegas but she is from l.a. she was just living there during her pregnancy. So her son only live din Vegas for like 2 months but does not say he is from Vegas because that gives the impression that he actually lived there regularly and that's where he is from. He is actually from l.a. because that's where he really lives. Or what about women who are in the military and their child may be born in Korea does not mean they are from Korea it just means they were born there. What about Brad Pitts baby was born in Africa the baby is not African nor is the baby from Africa because they actually live in America. You go by where you live.

you gotta ask yourself what matters. people aren't asking because they're genuinely interested in your place of birth (unless that place is exotic). they ask where you're from because they want to know you. your place of birth is just some irrelevant factoid about you. where you grew up, however, tells someone a lot more about you as a person. it tells about what type of community you were surrounded by, where you got your culture, and how your moral compass is aligned.

i was born in a different country, but when people ask me where i'm from, i tell them where i grew up. if i'm overseas and people ask me where i'm from, i say the u.s. if they care that much they can follow it up with where were you born?

Abraham Lincoln was born in Kentucky. How many people consider him a Kentuckian (is that even a word)?

He has spent the majority of his adult years in Texas. Some people say they are "from" the place they were born & other say it's where they've spent the majority of their life. Everyone's different.

I've seen him driving in the Hill Country. I've never seen you there.

Where would you rather people think you're from, Texas, or some second-rate state?

You're right. Like everything else, he lies about where he's from. It's "cool" and "authentic" to be from Texas. With all due respect, there ain't much cool about Connecticut.
