While I was holding him he started to shake, I put him back in his cage right when he started, was he cold or scared? Did I do something to scare him, he was just around my hand for like 10 mins being still then started to shake...

Neon lives in a nice warm, humid cage, and is fed every day about 6 or more large crickets (depending on size of cricket) and occassionally some lettuce and melon. She is a very active, frisky lizard, never looks at all starved and doesn't seem ill, she just hasn't grown very much since I've had her. I thought females grew to around 2 feet. Is it some sort of sign she is unhealthy if she is only about 15 inches?

We feed her the pellets that the pet store gave us every day along with feeder fish a couple times a week but she has started eating the rocks at the bottom of her tank. Is it possible that she is eating them because there is food particles on them? What hazards are there besides choking that this could cause her? Thanks for your help.

I have my veiled chameleon caged in exo terrarium for a week now.
I have asked people around and i got 2 responds that completely opposite to each other.

One guy said that the terrarium is fatal for my chameleon (as it can develop sickness due to poor ventilation) and it would
be better caged in a screen cage (looked ugly BTW).

But the other guy said that exo terrarium is fine and it is perfect for keeping the moisture in (70% is ideal moisture habitat for chameleon). Plus the screen sometimes can hurt my chameleon feet... So which one is correct?!!!

Right now, i put him in my exo terrarium and i often open the glass window once a day (under supervision off course, so he won't escape).

Obviously aesthetic wise i prefer the exo terrarium... but I care about my pet more.. If it can harm him, i would rather buy a screen cage.

Thanks so much guys!

What is the best way to clean stuck on urinates from the palstic material of vision cages without spending an hour on my hands and knees?
I use newspaper as bedding, but some times my boas don't feel like going on the paper. Any kind of solution I could use? Household cleaner that dissolves it (with me making sure the cleaner absolutely gone afterwards of course)?

Ok, I have a California desert tortoise (legally obtained....i'm guardian) and an African pancake tortoise that have been living wonderfully together for over a year now. I'd like to introduce some other species to their enclosure. Any ideas that won't mess up the good thing they've got going already?

I'm looking for:
Names of gecko's
Where to find them
Breeders who will sell them

As far as I know, pet shops in NSW aren't allowed to sell reptiles. My question is based on the assumption that this is true. If you know of any pet stores that sell gecko's, that would work too.

I was wondering if anyone could help.
During the day, I usually take my two baby turtles out to bask in the sun. I keep my eyes on them and usually have no problems. Last week, I took them out and turned my attention to my son for a few minutes; when I looked back I couldn't find one of them. It's been 6 days and I haven't been able to find her. I've looked everywhere:raked the grass, crawled on my knees and nothing.
Does anyone know how long a turtle can survive without food/water? I've been wetting the grass often, since it's been sunny and yesterday and today it's been raining.
Is there anything I can do or use to get her to come out of hiding?

I have hope that DanDan (that's the name my son gave it) is still alive. I look everyday in hope that I find her. She was the timid and shy one...she usually doesn't go far.
Please, if anyone can suggest anything I'd greatly appreciate it.

I had two but one was sickly when purchased - got better - then suddenly got pneumonia and died. I feel bad only having one but he grew quite large so I do not want to put a smaller turtle in the tank and RES are banned for sale in FL.

We have had our ball python, Jax, for about two years now and he is doing great, but I have a few questions. He's about 3-3 1/2 feet now and we have been feeding him two small mice every other week. Some people have told us to feed him every week instead of every other week and some people have told us to feed him once a month. How often do you think we should feed him? We have been feeding him the same way for the last almost 2 years now and he is doing good, so I don't really see the point in changing anything, but because everyone is telling us something different I figured I'd ask on here and see what people say.

I just got a 2 month old snake and I read somewhere that when they are young you may want to feed it twice a week. I don't want to over feed her though, so can someone give me some advice? (Only if you are POSITIVE about your answer please)
