I sometimes have a problem getting new fosters to eat. I have found that mixing the pellets with brine shrimp, (one part brine shrimp to two parts pellets) has had very good results. they are drawn to the smell of the shrimp and with their poor visual acuity they eat the pellets by mistake!!!
Oh, yes, and always feed in the water.

I feed my baby RES, crickets at first i fed him ham pellets and i tried lettuce, and he was okay eating all those things but no wthat he tried the crickets he can't stop eating them, and you could also try feeding it mealworms. you can also check out this website:http://www.austinsturtlepage.com/Care/caresheet-red_ear_slider.htm

Check out this info. They need a variety of food items, mostly protein as babies. Also, check his setup: large enough tank (10gal/inch of shell), heat basking bulb, basking lot, UVB source, water heater, filter, very clean water, no gravel, etc.....
