First, I'd like to know why so many morons responded to this question. If you don't know what a skink is, you're not going to know the answer, so don't respond, idiots. Google skink if you want to know what it is.
I feed mine scrambled eggs or low fat canned cat food mixed with vegetables such as collard greens and carrots. I also use calcium. This is very important. They like bananas for treats. I also give them the occasional pinky mouse. Cooked chicken is another good one. You can do insects too, but I never have. They're slow lizards and have a hard time chasing crickets, although it's probably good excercise. But, you'll find, blue tongues are like people. Not all like the same foods, so you'll have to experiment.

If I remember correctly we fed the juveniles gut packed crickets, jumbo mealies, the occasional calcuim dusted pinky mouse, steamed veggies, and top- quality wet cat food.
We fed the adults mostly the cat food, the mealies, the veggies, and the occasional mouse. Crickets were too small by that point.
Always use vitamin and/or calcium supplements.

No! warm damn, they might desire to no longer be eating protein like that at that age, no longer even to show that i'm assuming it truly is a stay skink you're thinking of. He ought to be eating eighty% greens with purely a weekly feeding of crickets/mealworms/superworms. it is likewise surprisingly risky to feed them something longer than the width between their eyes.

They're omnivorous so there is no single food that is best. The best diet is one with a lot of variety. They will take pretty well any feeder insect and the occasional newborn mouse. They have a fondness for snails as well. You can give them a small amount of canned cat food for a treat. They like sweet fruits like bananna and melon. Try to get them to take some greens as well like collard, dandelion or escarole. They can be stubborn about eating greens but if you mix in a small bit of cat food with the greens they can be convinced to eat them.

skinks are found in the wild in Kentucky and other warmer climate gardens eating bugs
I would assume crickets, grasshoppers, flies, water would be a good diet
