I was looking at downloading MSA Herp, but I cant find a valid download link...what are you using? Any other forms of record keeping for snakes would also be appreciated. I have 5 Corn snakes, 2 Pueblan Milksnakes and 1 California Kingsnake. I'm busy expanding my collection and the normal pen and paper way of keeping track of vital information is getting harder.

My 6 year old son named Timmy is waay retarded, and I am not sure how to take care of it. Would a 21 foot reticulated python be a good way for him to learn responsibility? I work alot and I feel the snake would look after him and keep dogs and other things from biting my son while I hit the bar or go to work. I feel a snake would 'take care' of the way things are? Maybe make some problems he is having 'go away?' What are some other ideas for a companion for him? I had a 3 foot corn snake when I was young that loved me. So this would be 7 times the love I had.

What do you think is the best type of cage for a baby to juvenile ball python? Also, what is your prefered cage substrate?
Thanks

hi we just recently acquired 2 huge 11 year old red eared turtles. now they're wandering in the backyard with only a small tub of water. but when we put them in they went out at once and hid under the bushes. they've been out of the water for two days now.. is this ok?

Ok, well, I figured out where I am going to buy my little turtles at: www.turtlesale.com....but, i can't find a place to buy the tank!!! argh! i have tried petco.com, amazon.com, and turtlesale.com...all of them have been either too expensive or too crappy looking...do you have any ideas of a website where i could buy my tank---a reallly good one for a good price...or should i just go to the PetCo store and try to find one...also, has anyone had any experience with Yelllow Belly Turtles??

I know how big they are SUPPOSED to get, but curious as to the sizes they reach when you keep em at home in a tank. Let me know. Also, if you can tell me how old they are or when they reached full size, that'd be cool, too.

I was just thinking about Steve and I found two ironic twists about his death. The first one that I came up with was that he put his heart into all of the animals (his passion in other words) and he died by having a sting ray's barb pierce him through his chest. The second twist was that he died filming a documentary called "Ocean's Most Deadliest". I've always loved steve and he's really going to be someone I miss. Does anyone else feel like they lost a close relative......poor Terri, Bindi and Bob....
