My 6 year old son named Timmy is waay retarded, and I am not sure how to take care of it. Would a 21 foot reticulated python be a good way for him to learn responsibility? I work alot and I feel the snake would look after him and keep dogs and other things from biting my son while I hit the bar or go to work. I feel a snake would 'take care' of the way things are? Maybe make some problems he is having 'go away?' What are some other ideas for a companion for him? I had a 3 foot corn snake when I was young that loved me. So this would be 7 times the love I had.

I don't think Timmy is retarded, I think you are. First this cant be a real question because nobody is that stupid. Second a 21 foot retic is not a good pet for ANYBODY. #3 what are you doing leaving a six year old at home alone. If you dont mind jeopardizing your 6 year olds life, go for it, moron. So rundown is dont leave your 6 year old "mentally handicapped" alone when you go to the bar while he plays with a pet that has the capabilities of killing him. We call that criminal negligience in the US. Better idea why dont you shotgun a 6 pack than go stick your head in the snakes mouth and do Timmy a favor, General genital, king of the dumbasses. Better yet, why don't you bend over and shove the snake up your ***.

Are you crazy or what? First of all the snake is not a good pet for a mentally challenged child.Next, why in God's green earth would you leave a mentally challenged child alone when you go to work or for God's sake, the bar.Start with a gold fish and teach him the responsibility of feeding the fish and then gradually move up to a small dog or cat.

First of all, the word "retarded" is just plain wrong. Secondly, no, a snake of any kind would not be a good pet. Try a puppy or a kitten. Something that won't turn on him if he isn't such a good care taker. And I don't mean a pit bull. The word "special needs" is a better word.

You're kidding, right? This snake is a major threat to the life of your son. What on earth are you thinking? A cat, a thoroughly tame dog, a guinea pig--these are more in line with your needs.

Yes, I think that would be a great pet for your little retard... he needs to learn responsibility early if he is going to grow up like the old man...
