Hi,
crikey is an
*exclamation (Brit. informal) an expression of surprise.
ORIGIN - euphemism for CHRIST
who he's hopefully chatting to right now, "...and I was just swimmin over him when, Crikey, he got me...."

As an English man I can officially tell you that "Crikey" is what is said instead of "Holy f*** there is a m**** ***** **** with a **** and a *** ***" which is what the americans say all the time

Crikey is just a colloquial expression of surprise that we use in Australia. Although it must be said that this expression is fading out in general use by most people. Good question!
