I have a gelding who was a stud for 7 years. He has been gelded for 5 years now. He still thinks he is a stud and is not able to be put with the new mare we have (he has been with mares before and this has not happened). We had him tested to make sure they got all of it when they gelded him and the test said they did. He is going nuts and Im wondering if anyone has any ideas or has heard of this before. We have him separate from the herd so he will not hurt her, but we would like to let him back out of the stall and to roam with the rest.

I want it to have all its relevant certificates etc, and for me to be able to pick it up myself, therefor cash on delivery, avoiding any scams, as i have been inundated with these since enquiring about capuchin's.
Thanks
Vicky.

P.S Before anyone jumps on the wagon, NO there not illegal aslong as they have all relevent paperwork injections, worming etc, so this avoides quarentine too.

I took my dog to the groomer today at Petsmart. It is going to cost me $38.00 for the bath, cut, etc. So do you tip the person who does it, or is it not necessary? I'll tip if I have to, I just need to know. Thanks!

When humans have children, they are nurished through the umbilical cord. And other animals who carry their children til birth are also nurishing the babies. How can an animal being hatched from an egg survive til birth? They aren't getting any nurishment from the parents, only warmth from them sitting on the eggs. Just wondering.

I recently changed cages of my hamsters and I have tried 2 different water bottles and both of them have leaked all the water out completely. Both bottles are new and both have the ball bearing in them. Is there something I am doing wrong or any tips that would solve this problem? I have had to change all his litter out twice now. or should I just use a bowl of water instead?

I have a male hamster that has lost a lot (most) of his hair from his back, and his skin looks very dry and flakey? He was givin to me by a friend last year and was healthy up until a few months ago. I give him good feed with lots of seeds and dried fruits and some fresh vegs from time to time. He was recently moved from an old cage to a newer one that is cleaner this week. Also what would be good to feed him in addition to his feed that would balance his diet better?

My 9 year old yellow Labrador is a diabetic, therefore, he developed cataracts in both eyes. He can now only see light and dark. Anyway, just a little less than an hour ago, I let him in from outside and gave him his daily shot of insulin. He was about to jet through the kitchen to get upstairs to his food bowls. However, a friend was going downstairs into the basement, and he made the mistake of turning down into that stairwell. Well, he completely fell down all of the basement stairs (because he couldn't see where he was going). He simply got up and went looking for his food, though. I'm worried maybe he was just in such shock that he fell down the stairs, that he can't feel if anything is wrong yet. I brought him upstairs to get his food, and he wasn't limping or anything. Still, I'm worried that he may have hurt his hip while falling down the stairs. How can I check his hips with my hands? I don't want to take him for an unnecessary vet visit and have to pay, when I can check.

There is a sick robin outside my office sitting under some chokeberry bushes. There are no trees or anything around. I noticed it sitting on the the bush last night, which I thought was strange it stayed because I drove so close. So I noticed it and today it was still there. So I got out of my car and it hopped away but did not fly or try to flap its wings. It is a bit puffy butit is cold. It is still out there, there is no cover for it. What should I do?

My husband and I woke up one morning to both of our cats chasing something around our apartment in a frenzy. What they were chasing was a fat dwarf hamster, which I still have no idea how the thing got into our apartment (we live in a complex with 27 other apartments, so Im thinking one got lose from somewhere). I felt bad for the little guy, and I didnt want my husband to feed "him" to one of our snakes, so I bought a hamster cage and food and decided to keep "him" as a pet.

Things went great for about 2 weeks. The hamster is very friendly, and I practically held "him" all day every day. I guess I should mention that I have no experience at all with hamsters, as I have never had one before.

I woke up this morning and heard squeeking noises from the hamster cage. When I looked into the cage, all I saw was the hamster but still heard the noises. When I checked the last time the bedding in the bottom of the cage was moving!! My hamster had babies, and I have no idea what to do!!!

To my knowledge the Foxhound is not a pet, and has been used for only one purpose throughout its existence. As a species it has had its livelyhood removed(foxhunting is now band across the UK). Previousely the animals were financially viable to breed and raise.

Will(can they be) Foxhounds be domesticated as Pets?
Are they still being actively bred?
Are they at risk of becomming extinct within the next century?

Note: Im not interested in hearing the whether fox hunting in right or wrong, I'm purely interested in the Fox Hound breeds future.
