build a enclosure/fence/pen or call your local wildlife authority and have them trapped. they will probably not do anything but put them to sleep as a nuisance animal... foxes are out of control in my area (MD) and they told me to deal with it...if you get a hav-a-heart trap and trap them be careful!!! and take them to another area with woods and far away from your home, but be careful and dont get bitten...or call a wildlife reabilitator and tell them you have trapped a nusance fox and they might help place it elsewhere, also(if you decide to move it yourself) I would not tell anyone you are doing it because you might get into trouble for it, but you would be relocating and probably saving its life as people are moving into THEIR territory and its not really their fault..smile good luck
Edit:(Danielle) I spoke with DNR and they told me basically there was nothing i could do!!! I have a fox that is harassing my dogs during the day while they are in their kennel. The fox pees on the run and drives my dogs crazy. they cant get to each other so its just a matter of a fox with nowhere else to go because houses have taken over where he lives.yes they carry diseases but if it was RABID it would be acting out and there was nothing mentioned but a natural instinct to hunt!! I also found out that foxes are really not completely nocturnal! they just have nowhere else to go. So I was told to deal with it!!!!!! that sucked. So yes you can build an enclosed area or you can have someone come KILL the fox but why kill them? I have some conscience and a large forest area where they could be released so that they wont be roadkill or be KILLED as you suggest to do!! I dont think it is fair to just off the poor things when its not their fault!! so get off your HIGH horse and get a consience. Its just not right to kill them for doing the only thing they know how to do. We invaded their teritory!!! not them invading us!!!
OH YEAH DONT FORGET FOXES DIG REALLY WELL!! so just a fence would sadly probably not stop them from getting your ducks...

I would try putting the ducks in an electric fence. Kencove makes some here: http://www.kencove.com/ShopItems.php?cat=Electric+Net+Fencing
I used this fence originally and it worked great for everything but owls. Also, are you putting your ducks up at night? if not you need to do so. make sure that you put them in a place where no predator can enter using good strong wire. make sure that there is enough room so that the predator cannot grab anything through the fence and pull on it.
You can also set traps for the fox and release it or, if it's killing your livestock you are permitted to kill it. Keep in mind that foxes are troublesome pests and you'll either need to remove the fox or better protect the ducks. Foxes are animals that don't easily take no for an answer.

The Best thing to do is to build a Cage/Habitat for your ducks at to sleep in at night. This should help keep the Fox out. You could try live traps and call the local animal control and see if they can come out and catch them and relocate them to a different area.

Get an off-the-ground duck house on mushroom legs (or you'll have rats instead), and keep the ducks in at night.
Shoot the fox, or gas the den, an air rifle should do the job fine.
Remember, your not allowed to send a dog after it anymore, you actually have to stay up and wait for the bugger.

Do not relocate the fox!!! You are spreading diseases and interrupting the ecosystem. I would think a vet tech would know better. You get in trouble because of that aspect.
The only way to get him to stop killing them is to get a trapper to come out, lay a trap and kill him, or move your ducks to somewhere the fox can't get at. In most states it is legal to trap and kill a fox. As to finding a trapper- can't help you with that because I don't know where you live.

Build a shelter to prevent more ducks from being harmed. Get a live trap with bait. Whenever you catch one take it somewhere far from your home in a wooded area.

You need to provide a predator proof enclosure for them.
