I have a Costa Rican Zebra Tarantula. Ive had it for almost 2 years. But this past month and a half it has not eaten anything. At first I thought it was getting ready to molt but it never did. So I tried to heat up the tempture but that did nothing. It is still pretty active but I was just wondering what I should do. Is this normal for them to go with out eating for over a month? Should I change what Im feeding it? I have always fed it crickets. Is it sick or is it dieing? Any one with any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.

Kids are so wonderful! There love for rescuing the homeless creatures is the way these kids express their want to nuture and care for these helpless creatures. Having said that Pet spiders are not welcome nor are any bugs of any discription.
My question is what are the most bizarre animals or sweetest stories that your kids have bought home wanting to give them a home.
Or what are the funny ones you remember bringing home saying to your parents "Mum & Dad, Can we keep it?"

I remember reading somewhere about a group of psychologists who successfully breeded domestic foxes, and I was wondering if it was legal to have them since they are tamed and docile. I've always liked wolfs, and I want to have one as a pet. Not a real one, but a wolf-dog hybrid, since I know wolfs are hard to take care of. Are these hybrids legal in california? and if so, where can i get them

I've watched a couple of animal rescue tv programs lately where the decision was made to euthanasta dogs just because they growled at a phony hand. These dogs are starved almost to death and because they growled at a hand they were put to death for "Food Aggression". Now these dogs were not mean, did not bite and appeared to be calm until, guess what? "We're putting you down little dogs." Bad dog, bad dog don't bite the phony hand. The dogs were starved for goodness sake and when food was available they wanted it.

The only dog I've ever seen with real "Food Aggression" was a Great White Pyrenee dog. This dog was well cared for, well feed and would still threaten to take your hand off if you even looked at her food. I pushed a loaf of bread back onto the kitchen counter and she got my arm. Now this was one dog I was scared of, thank god she is in ND now.

Where can I buy a hyena pup of any hyena breed in the United States? I've checked several exotic animal sites and haven't found a thing! Any ideas?

The kind you can buy from a pet store or adopt from a shelter. I have known a few ferrets in my life, but never had one live with me, just cats and dogs.
What is it like as a pet? Any wisdom would help!
And to those who think I'm talking about a WILD ferret, NO! Domesticated, born and raised in captivity is what I mean.

A good friend has a beautiful, safe, quiet, 10 yr. old quarter horse for sale. This horse can do anything. Good on trail, drives, does well in shows. She is selling him for $4000. The problem is he is a die hard cribber. A crib collar helps some, but hasn't cured him. Will he teach my other horse to crib?
