the kids hamster escaped again and before we got her back, she got into the fruits/and veggie basket and ate about half a tomato. will this make her sick and what should i watch for?

No a little tomato won't hurt her. She may have the runs for a few days though after eating that much.

My younger sister is like a hamster genius and I've never heard her say anything about tomatoes being harmful to hamsters. I can't get ahold of her right now to ask, but if it's in small amounts it's probably fine.
