Okay, I have a 9 month old pitbull/black lab mix, and yesterday her lips.. well the flabby part above her jaw started to swell.. I looked for any cuts or bites but nothing.. so we just ignored it for a little while.. Then her whole face started swelling, she can breathe just fine, and swallowing isn't a problem.. because she's still eating and still very playfull..

But now, I woke up this morning to her itching and biting at herself, all over her body!!! It's scary because I don't know what's going on and her whole body is covered in little bumps.. Now I live in Arizona, so I was wondering maybe she got stung by a scorpion? Bee? Wasp? I just need some help..

I'm 15 years old and not even my parents know whats going on with my baby! Please help!!!!!

My dog is a golden retriever and he has a tumor on the spleen. They said that it hasn't spread anywhere else yet. So they're not positive if its cancer yet. He's getting surgery to get it removed today and get it tested for cancer. What is the possibilities of him getting better? or getting cancer? I heard that golden retrievers get cancer alot. Please, give me the truth. I really love my dog.

I mean, they are breeding for a purpose, right??
Someone said it's to improve the health? Like breeding two breeds with luxating patellas...the puppies will come out fine, won't they???

I have a 6 month old japanese chin puppy who is crated overnight. She was also recently spayed. She's out most of the day with me and is good with housebreaking, thats not the problem. She used to sleep all night long...now she whines and has to pee around 3-4am (even though she went to the bathroom at 12am! when I go to sleep). The whining does stop after she goes though.

My question is, has the spay surgery made her want to go during the night and go more? Or has she just started to learn that I will let her out if she whines? (I don't unless I'm sure she wants to potty).

I have a german shepherd she is 2yrs old we moved over a yr ago and since we moved she has become a nightmare to leave on her own in the house! If i am in the house with her she has to follow me everywhere i go you can see she panicks and thinks i am leaving her! When i leave her in the house when i go out just to pop to the local shop for 5mins she will bark continously and scratch at my door which she has now put a hole in from where she has scratched at it so much! When i go out i leave her in my kitchen. It feels like i cant go anywhere or do anything without her being there ALL the time. She is always in the same room as me at all times otherwise she gets upset. She isnt like this with anyone else in my household ie my partner and 4 children. I would love another animal but think it wouldn't be fair only by the way she is! ADVICE GREATLY NEEDED!!!

I just saw two Shihapoos the other day that came from the same litter and they looked sooooo different? Why is that? I thought that if they were the same breed, a Shihapoo, that they would look the same?

Was there something wrong them?

Why do you think that German Shepherds, Dobermans, etc. are for experts only? How do you know if you're already an expert and can have those kind of breeds?

We adopted the dog from a shelter. He was vaccinated a few days before we got him at about eight - 10 week. At first he came home very hyper then he developed this cough. Cough still persists, but not as strong. He has had a runny eye and nose, but no real discharge. Now he seems to be loosing his footing on slick surfaces - he has fallen into his feeding bowl a few times - We took him to a vet who said his fever was slight, but not strong. Vet saw him again and said it was not distemper. We are still concerned. He wants to sleep a lot. His appetite is still very good. He is urinating and defecating fine. We are not sure what is going on with him.

I am interested in a German Shepherd...NOT FOR THE HOLIDAYS

I love to look on petfinder too, but it would be nice to get a great purebred German Shepherd.

My 6-months- old German Shepherd has hot spots that become rushes on his skin. His breeder never had this problem with his dogs, so it is not a genetic. My dog is on a raw diet and supplements as salmon oil, kelp/alfalfa. Also, I gave him 'skin and cout' vitamins which cotain soybeen oil. I still have no idea, where this problem came from - I have read lots of articles about dog's alergies to long hair cats(we have one, too), soybeen oil, etc. I used benadril - it helps little-bit. Then, I bout Dr. Goodpet itshy skin free drops - I use them a week but do not see any improvement. Our vet is about 100-year-old. By another hand, I don't want to treet my dog with antibiotics as it has a site effect. I would appreciate any help and suggestions.

Hi, I've noticed that my dog has a little black oval shaped bit of skin on her elbow and it seems to be dry and flakey and the hair is a bit thin there, it sticks out a bit but is almost completely flat. I've noticed it a long time ago but thought nothing of it. It hasn't grown at all. It's only about 1cm long and she doesn't seem to notice it at all. Anyone know what it is?

Me and my GF have three dogs. Two toy poodles and a doberman. Im currently training my Dobe obediance and agility training. My GF gets really pissed to see that Im putting all my effort into traing Sissie my dobe and not her dogs. The reason is they dont have any formal training in any aspect of there whole existance. Not even house trained which burns me up more than anything but she says that there blatters are small so they cant hold it as long as my dobe. Thats crap because my moms yorkie can hold it more than 24 hours god forbid he ever has to again. But anyway back to the topic at hand. All they do is sit in her lap and follow her twenty-four seven. If I touch them or fuss them they growl and show there teeth. They bite everyone that comes in the house. Mean *** little dogs. I have no will or want to train those evil little dogs. But she gets geolous when I spend time with my dog training and jogging with her. I think she hates my dog! Any body ever have this problem.....

I gave her a bath about 2 days ago! I have no idea how she gets dirty because there is no way. she has a limited place to be outside, so she cant go wandering off and getting into things.

How can I make sure she stays smelling good?

First of all, what is crate training? Then how do you crate train a puppy? How is it useful? I know i can just search this on internet, but i find it easier to understand and more helpful from answers from yahoo answers, because there are varieties of answers from different ppl's view and opinion.
