Your dog should be fine. He'll pass it in his poop.
Your dog would have to eat quite a bit of chocolate to be fatal.

I must admit, no. Chocolates are harmful to some dogs. What more with a peanut butter candy with a tin foil wrapping? Think about it! Bring your dog to the vet immediately!

I worked a a vet clinic in the past and this was one of the most common questions we received while I was there...Especially around the holidays!! The truth about a dog's allergy to chocolate is that they are actually not "allergic" to chocolate, rather hyper-sensitive to the caffeine in chocolate...it can give them a heart attack...So that being said, the candy your dog ingested was diluted with peanut butter and was probably milk chocolate to begin with (milk chocolate has a very low caffeine content) So the worst thing you really have to worry about is possibly some loose poop from your dog eating a substance he's not used to digesting...my dog (60# mutt) ate a 1/2 lb bag of m&m's once...and lived to tell about it...for future reference though, if your dog eats a large amount of milk chocolate, you can induce vomiting by giving a tbs. of hydrogen peroxide...completely safe, and usually on hand! All this said, the only time chocolate is a real danger to dogs is when it is dark chocolate and consumed in large amounts...good luck with your sweet toothed hound!!

How big is the dog? If it's a Yorkie or Chihuahua and it was dark chocolate, that can be a big deal. If it's a mastiff and it was plain milk or white chocolate, probably fine except for a stomach ache. Watch to make sure the foil wrapping passes.

GET HIM TO THE VET! Do not pass "Go" -- do not collect $200 -- GO!

Chocolate is poison to dogs and, depending on the size of the dog and the amount of chocolate ingested, he could be in serious trouble!

The tin foil is a non-issue and the peanut butter is fine -- but dogs should NEVER EVER have chocolate as it is poison to them!

CALL YOUR VET

he'll poop out the foil and the chocolate won't hurt him if he's eaten just a little.
