Someone once told me that spme lady who had a cat, had some lung disease and they found a hair form her cat in her lungs. I dont know how true is that, but if you have a dog who sheds, and sleeps with you, is it possible that you can inhale their hair?I knoe we have defensive systems in out respiratory system against dust and little particels, so I am wondering how possible is that to happen like to that lady?

I know it's in their nature to bark obsessively at anything they see moving. My dog gets into the garbage like everyday and if she gets the chance she'll run out the front door and run down the street and I'll have to chase after her for like 2 blocks and she sometimes gets into fights with my other dogs......is this normal and is it true that she is supposed to calm down alot like when she turns 3 years old?

We just got a puppy and she was fine for the first couple days then she got bumps all of her stomach and arms. Then my two year old dog started to itch. They are biting and itching all the time. Now me and my husband have the same bumps and are itching to. What rash that a dog has could be contaigous humans? I know it is not fleas or ticks at least from what we can see.

We rescued this puppy from some jerks who didn't feed him, ever. he is so sweet and hyper. But he has this annoying need to lick us, the couch, the floor, the fridge, and everything else. Is he just very thankful, or is there somthing wrong with him?

I just bought a 8 week puppy this last Saturday and on Monday I found out he has Parvo, the vet, did not want to give me any medicine becuase he said he was going to die anyway, but I am praying for him and I want to know if there is anything that I can give him to help him get better. I would appriciate your prayers for Shiloh as well.

Our black lab is very sweet and mild mannered. He enjoys playing with our other two dogs, a boxer and a bishon. He loves to snuggle. However, touch him with your feet, and beware. He has bitten a couple times, never breaking the skin. He ALWAYS growls, jumps up, and moves away.

Hi everyone, my finacee and i are foster parents for dogs and puppies .We just got an 8 week old pug named booboo. The vet cant see him till morning.
He came from a puppy mill and the reason he was rescued is becuase the breeder felt he had health issues and would not be able to sell him. (how terrible is that)!!!
He has a hernia were his ambililcle cord was, a respitory infection, his eyes are cloudy, one has a bump on his left eye and his back legs look pigeon toed and weak.
He is eating, drinking, playing and going to the bathroom with no issues. But when he sleeps i noticed that he sometimes wakes up twitching with his eyes moving everywhere. Its very scary and if I call touch him he stops.
The next issue is that my saint bernard wants nothing to do with the pup. In the past with our foster dogs she will cuddle, clean and play with the dogs, we even have a cat that she loves and takes care of. We are thinking that our dog knows the pup is ill and is "rejecting" him. HELP!

This morning my 13-year-old Austrailian Cattledog nearly killed my 3-month-old kitten when it went up to his food. He is in the "hospital" with a head injury. The attack was so severe the kitten couldn't walk afterward. I say the attack was severe, but if I hadn't been in the room and seen it I wouldn't have known it. The dog just barely growled/snapped and the kitten was down. I asked the vet about putting the dog down & he was upset with me saying it's normal for a dog to defend its food. I understand this, but am concerned at the severity with which he defended it. I've had this dog since he was a puppy. Now that he's old he sometimes is randomly aggressive. At night if I touch him he growls at me. He's attacked the cat for no reason -although never causing injury. I'm afraid this latest attack is another symptom of his growing aggression and next time it could be one of my kids and then I'll be told you should have put him down a log time ago. I appreciate any advice

If you can answer this question, I will email you his picture. He's about 30 lbs, one year old. White body, a couple large orangish-brown patches on the body. Head is darker brown and grey around the muzzle. Ears are triangular and short. They stand up when he's alert. Face and muzzle remind me a bit of a shepherd. Very large paws. Tail is all white, and he carries it arched over his back. Lots of hair on the tail and around the hind legs...reminds me of a retriever. Very friendly, alert and seems intelligent.

i was making him do trick with a pig ear n then he snatched it out of my hand. n so went over to him n started to take it back cuz i dont like him doing it cuz hes a german shepherd n he did it before n gave ma a scar on my thumb. i was trying to pull it out n then he started to growl which he doesnt do often so i hit him on the butt (not hard) n then he let go of the pig ear n took my hole hand in his mouth n then quickly let go. i never saw him like this is it cuz of the heat? n now my hand is all black n blue i was wondering was it my fault that he bit me? or wat? i really love him but now he is normal n nice. was it just a 1 time thing or wat? im sure he didnt really mean it. did i make him mad? like i always play with him n try to take things out of hes mouth

by the way he had his rabies shot

He is beautiful, sweet and very intelligent. On to the problem.

I also have a chocolate lab, a teacup poodle/yorky mix and a small cat. My beautiful pitbull puppy plays by biting. I'm not so worried about my lab, but the little poodle/yorky mix, Whitey, is barely 5#'s and has the tiniest neck. The puppy is already three times his size and tries to pull him around by his tail and takes his neck in his mouth.

We are working to stop the "biting as play" behavior, but I'm worried. We are having some success, but a single backslide on the puppy's part could snap Whitey's neck. And to make it worse, Whitey is all testosterone, 5 pound alpha male! When the pitbull pisses him off, Whitey is all over him - and the puppy backs off. For now.

We got the puppy when he was 4 weeks old, so they have been together all this time.

Should we worry? and are there any techniques out there someone could recommend to insure that all our babies are safe together?

I have a male Shih- Tzu who is very aggressive towards other males. Does any one else have this problem? If so, is there any thing you found to help alleviate the aggressiveness?

I have a 3yr old GSD dog but he isn't a guard dog at all. The only thing he barks at, is next-door's cat. He also only barks when nobody is looking at him. When somebody is with him, he wont bark at all.

Today somebody came in the house and seen the dog and the dogs ears went down ( this is when i felt really embarrassed lol). I was expecting at least a growl.

He hasnt had much socialization with other dogs, only a few. He is really scared of my dad ( because he is a strict person ).

I just want to toughen the dog up, so people are more afraid of him. The reason I brought a dog was to guard the house and family. I dont expect the dog to bite people or cause harm, just to give a loud bark and show his teeth as a warning.

Any suggestions?

(If your going to waste your own time and my time by giving a sarcastic answer... please dont)

Thank you 4 your help..
