I'm in an apartment right now and whenever my husband and I buy our house...I HAVE to get a dog...but really I would like to adopt about 3. My 2 bichons live with my parents because of the expensive pet fee in my building! (and because one is actually my sister's that doesn't even pay attention to her and the other my grandma bought and gave it to us) I would like a big, med, and small sized dog so that it is like the big sister...medium sweetie type, and the little brat. Lately I've been "craving" for a St. Bernard can someone tell me how much food and how big their poopies are? For the medium dog I would like a beagal..my first dog was a begal and loved it soooo much!! For the small dog...I really love my bichon but the grooming is so hard for them...and other CUTE small dogs you could recommend that don't require a lot of grooming? NO chihuahuas or any ugly dogs

I don't have a "lawn" area in my backyard where my dog can do his business. However, he has made one area (of my concreted backyard) his bathroom. I clean it on a daily basis. First, scooping up the poop with a pooper scooper and then pouring some bleach on the affected areas then hosing it down with water. I use bleach so it can kill the germs, especially to kill off the smell.

I am sure it is affecting whatevers "downstream". Do you have any suggestions to avoid contaminating the freshwater runoff? I've used simple green before, and I know that is non-toxic... but the "wet dog/poop" smell still remained. Bleach does the job for me.

I am in north carolina. I am looking for free puppies in the caldwell country or surrounding areas. I prefer a very small dog not over 6 pounds. Prefer house dog although it doesn't have to be trained. If anyone knows where I can get one please let me know.

I have a 6 yr old rottweiler who is an outside dog and I can already tell "Chigger" is going to annoy her (very hyper) so I was wondering about making her an inside dog and can tag along with my 3 1/2 yr old.

See, my dog (a standard poodle) loves playing the drums. But he plays terrible whenever he does. One day I told him to stop playing because I hated the way he plays! So now he's encouraging himself to mope around the house until I tell him he plays well... but I'm not. Is their another peaceful way to love this problem?

My lurcher howling whenever I go out. I was told about these citronella collars. Do they work? Have you a better idea?

No stupid or cruel ideas please, as wasting my precious time, and outright cruel answers may well be recieved and returned with a well deserved slap! and a bad rating to boot. Thank you in advance to all who answer sensibly, Bugger off and grow up to those who think its clever to be cruel / dim!!!!

I will be very busy with college course and work for next 3-4 months. If I can only spend a few hours a day with the dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback), will this suffice? I will have to get away to be able to study. He seems to get more aggressive with his biting, although I can't tell if its playing or just geting mean. Maybe I should get another dog to keep him company. I hate to give up so soon, but I want the best situation for both of us.

My dog has a raised black lump on his leg. I immediately shaved around it to see if I could tell if it was a tic but I couldn't see any legs. Is there another way to tell?

My puppy will be left alone seven hours a day, but will be excersised before being left alone. I intend to put a toddler gate up in my kitchen and a crate inside with the door open so that the dog can lay down if it wants to. It will also be within reach of food and water. I am also going to lay down "puppy pads" so that my puppy can relieve herself there. If she doesn't use the bathroom on the pads, then my floor is tiled and no harm done. Send me feedback on whether you think this is a good idea or not and what you would change ( if anything) about this situation. Thank you!
