but then it's wet again and he doesn't drink that much or eat he's a half beagle and half hotdog he's a puppy

Sounds like he might be a little dehydrated. Just keep clean water available he'll drink when he's ready. :o)

Wet and dry noses mean very little. As long as he is eating, drinking and going to potty alright, don't worry about it. Good luck.

it means nothing. dry noses being bad is a old wives tale. just keep a supply of water handy and food too.
