No you shouldn't put her down for getting nippy. Maybe she's in pain, take her to the vet to see if anything is wrong and see what your vet suggests. She might just be in pain and you can't physically see what the problem is.

I think this depends on how old "old" is. If she has many health problems and can't see very well and is just grumpy all the time then yes maybe it is time to put her down. I wouldn't make this decision lightly. Her life is in your hands. I don't think you should keep an animal alive if it is suffering but if you just think she is just a grouchy old dog then I guess its up to you.

What does the vet say? If she is sick or uncomfortable that would make her nippy. Maybe she is in pain and the vet can give something to help.

What does your vet say....is she healthy?.....I'm sure you've been around senior humans and must have met a 'cranky' one sometime? Maybe she doesn't want to be bothered at that moment...I wouldn't consider that unless so poses a really violent threat to any of you:(
Please if you consider giving her up as suggested...contact these people Best Friends Animal Sanctuary....they are strictly a "No Kill" organization.....

That is a very personal choice that only you can make. If you have questions about it then I would suggest talking to your vet.

You should take her to your local vet first. See if there's anything bothering her, like a broken tooth or something.

i don't think you should. I would try to find out whats wrong with the dog first. You know your animal though and knows whats best for him/her.
