I never bred my dogs before their 3 heat. 1 1/2 yrs are the soonest to breed, 2yrs is better!

Do you have homes for your (soon to be) puppies? You may find yourself stuck with them.

Any dog needs to be at least 2 years old before breeding.. cause of the possibilty of not being a good mother I always breed my dogs around 2 years old..Dog breeder & trainer for 13 years..

Best to skip her first heat, and take her to a vet for a checkup before you breed her.

Good idea to wait until her third heat cycle. Main concern is can you find homes for the puppies. Good luck.
