My golden retriever gets so excited when I give her, her vitamin C pill....Vet recommended 15 ml / pound to keep her hips strong.

You may also want to try Glucosamine Sulfate for her joints. For those of you out there whose dog does not like getting a pill shoved down their throat, try sticking it in some peanut butter.

actually yes, I think they know that it helps them feel better. My lab has a thyroid problem, so he gets a pill every day. He hated it at first, but then he started getting more energy and feeling better (plus he lost 40 pounds!) So now he comes running over when I get the pill bottle each morning, wagging his tail ready to keep feeling better!
I don't even have to hide the pills in food anymore, he just swollows them right away.

I always hid pills in a piece of hot dog or Velveeta cheese with another bite waiting right at the nose for the first one to go down.

Glucosamine is good stuff but you probably already know that. My latest research shows liquid glucosamine is better absorbed. I give it to my 8 yr old Lab and shes doing better.

I wish...
I usually have to do it a few times because they struggle and manage to spit it out. Hiding it in their food doesn't work either. They'll spit that out too.
