I trained my dog when she was a puppy to use a cat litter box. She also goes outside. She is very small (5 pounds) and cannot hold it all day when I am at work (probably due to the fact that she was trained to just go in the box when she had to). She will go in her box sometimes and then sometimes she will just go on the floor. I understand when she does not want to go in there if there is already #2 in there or if she does not think it is clean. She knows she did something bad when she goes on the floor.Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to make here quit going to the bathroom on the floor? It is driving me crazy. By the way the breed is known to be hard to potty train (maltese).

I have a very large German Shephard/Border Collie mix beautiful boy. He runs alot in our backyard, but I don't think the grass would wear down his nails. Any ideas on how often??

I'm a very conscientious dog owner, I promise. From time to time, though, the dog will get into something and roll around in it and come back inside (peeyeeew!) smelling just awful. Bathing this dog is a MAJOR hassle (some dogs are cool with it, but not this one) and normally requires a $75 groomer visit. It was so ongodly once when I had guests over, that I sprayed Febreeze on him and it worked wonders in that emergency, but I'm wondering about the safety of that practice. Is there a safer product that would accomplish some odor abatement in between groomings? Someone out there has been through this, I'm just sure of it.

I walk my dog about 2-3 times a day and he always does a #2 on our walks. of course, this is in someone else's yard.
i always clean it up...ALWAYS!!!!

but, i was wondering if anyone felt this was rude behavior??
i mean, i can't control where he's going to go and i can't not take him for walks...so, would you mind if he used your yard as long as you knew it would be cleaned up????

thanks!

Honestly, he's 80 lbs, he thinks he's a lap dog, he curls up in the sun, he has an attitude, and his brain is really small. (Tho, he is so cute)

He's 20 months and we've had him since he was 4 months. He is already housebroken but I would like to keep his "duty" in one area for easier cleanup. Is this possible? What kind of surface is most suitable? Grass, dirt, gravel, sand...?

i am going on vacation soon and every year it is really apathetic. i am terribly morose right now because my family is not the most technological advanced family. the closest thing we own to modern technology is this computer and some DVD players. we do not have PS2 or XBOX or any of those kinds of stuff. so i really want a nintendo ds and a nintendog to go with it but my dad is really hard to convince and i go on vacation in about two days. i have even offered the money to buy it but my mom says i cannot get one unless my dad says yes. my dad is the type of caring person but is really strict on money and how we spend it. please help me and do not put dumb things saying that i do not need one. can you help me get a nintendo ds and a nintendog before i go on vacation?
