Have heard that brewers yeast & garlic are safe & effective if given daily. Need any information regarding dosages, etc. We are trying to avoid dangerous commercial products like collars. Do you know of any common household products that could be used safely, ie bathing in vinegar water? HELP!

He gets repeated ear infections in one ear and the vet keeps giving him anti biotics. He had skin disorders and the vets didn't know what to do about this ...but a man walking his lab told us to give a daily fish oil tablet...and his skin condition is cured. Maybe someone has used something that works for the ear infections?

Her birthing date was miscalculated and they came before she had been moved away from my other dog and the necessary time to get used to her whelping area. she had 3 pups in the front yard under an old 4 wheeled cart. The rest were delivered in the dog/house whelping area made in the backyard. We've lost 4 already 2 definately from her squishing them 1 I had left her for 15 minutes to shower and I believe it was still-born the last I just found this morning limp and hardly breathing, I tried every effort to help it along but lost it too. Thanks for any input.

I have a chihuahua and he is the most loving gentle dog he is 2 years old. all my friends and family that come over my house says he has a licking problem because he always wants to lick u. i thought it just meant he was giving kisses that he likes u. Whats your opinion.

i need help.i have a six month old yorkie who is 3 pounds and cute except when he opens his mouth!i just had him at the vet and he said his teeth are fine.i feed him science diet dry dog food.i even brush his teeth!still it smells like a skunk lives in his mouth!any suggestions?

we currently have a 3 year old male staff bull terrier, he must be the most placid and playfull dog on the planet, (he cries to play with the next door neighbours cat!)we are thinking of getting another pup staff but dont want to upset or change his attitude.A friend did this and he said it totally changed his dog into an aggresive and very dominating dog.we have a small child so would it be to risky? on the other hand would it be company and a play mate for own dog? any advice

And if you don't know what a dewclaw is then you shouldn't need to worry about knowing the answer. (I just bought a boxer pup and had to look up the word, too.)

I have had dogs all my life, but my bulldog (1 year old)is one of a kind when it comes to this! She freaks out so badly and we can barely hold her in place, not to mention she sounds like we are torturing her. We have introduced her to the clippers, tried to do it quickly, tried it slowly...nothing is working...help! I fear our only alternative is a sedative.

My neighbor has a 3 lb dog that looks exactly like a tiny German Shepard. They say the mother is a purebred Chihuia and they don't know what the father is but the puppies look like Mini-me German Sherards.
Wouldn't that kill the mother?
What breed of dog could this puppy be.? I am sure its not German Shepard but it sure looks like it.

So my puppy is not 12 weeks old, and I've had her for a little over a week. I'm concerned she's getting a little spoiled and I'm wondering if it's too late to crate train her. 1.) Is it too late to crate train her? She's only a little potty trained. She'd go in certain areas, but sometimes will still pee all over my carpet. 2.) I go to school from 8-6, so do i put her in the crate then? 3.) How will crate training work? 4.) How much should I put her in there to begin w/? Thanks.
