We are having problems with a feral cat and would like to trap it and transport it to a shelter or some other place where it will be safe from harm.

She loves me to turn on the sink faucet and she'll watch it for a long time, poking at the stream or just watching the swirl it makes in sink.
But I'm afraid the landlord might start complaining.
How else can I keep her occupied?

My mother and I are looking to get a cat.

My grandmother highly reccomends going to the humane society because cats get put to sleep far too often.

However, Id rather adopt from a no kill facility.

I completely understand my grandmothers point, but Id rather have my money go towards keeping animals alive, rather than putting them to sleep.

Im interested to see what other people think.

Humane society, or no kill facility?

My sons friend had a stray dog follow him here and naturaly, the dog tried to make a home here. She was ill...had a hacking cough and snot hanging from her nostriles. I have a dog, whom she fussed with through the fence and 4 cats whom she sniffed under the door. I had no choice but to call animal control. I asked the person who picked her up would there be any way of finding out if this dog had kennel cough or distemper? He said ,"no, that they wouldn't be testing her." I quit getting my cats shots a few years ago after learning that they cause tumors many times. My vet even told me that it happened to one of his cats. Mine being indoors I felt better about not getting their shots but now I'm concerned that they may have been exposed to distemper.

If scientists manipulate genes of tigers, so that when tiger is born it always remains cub size... can it then be kept as a house pet?

I think it can, because size is the only deterrent of making them pets.

When will that happen?

The color of my cat is pure white, I wonder the difference in color of both eyes is a biological defect or some kind of new breed as I have never seen such a cat, I have 8 cats these days and this is the cutest one. Please any body if has any knowledge about it!!

This happened years ago, I am not actually sure that my cat died but since having the dream I assumed he had passed away. My cat (11 years old) had eaten a possum and he had been throwing up fur etc for a few days, he was very lightweight and he was sleeping on my boyfriends car, we turned the car on and my bf started reversing but the cat didnt move. He was alive I just had to go pick him up. So anyway I picked up my cat, took him inside for a bit then fed him outside. The next day he didnt come home, in fact he never came home, we lived across the road from a river reserve so I thought maybe he was spending a few days away as he often did. A week later I had a dream, my cat was running up from the reserve and up the stairs to our house, he ran into my brothers room and curled up and fell asleep, his skin was yellow and his fur was falling out in patches, I walked over to him and gave him a kiss and then he faded away. Was my cat saying goodbye to me in my dream?

My friend is giving me hers for Christmas and I've heard they can be quite attached to their owners, but what if the owner just kept him in a cage and occasionally played with him? Would the attachment still be there? How long would it take for him to adjust?

I have two male kittens around 6 months. They get along very well, play like crazy, groom each other, and sleep with each other (in my bed). I was planning to neuter one of them. The other one is pure bred siamese and I want to breed him with my friend's siamese. I have homes for all the future kittens. I just want to know if the two boys will be able to still get along with each other when one is neutered and one is not.

There are several cats in our household. I've just recently noticed that several of our cats stretch one of their hind legs (primarily the left leg) out behind them when they approach a human and sometimes other cats. Is this some form of greeting? Submission? I can't find anything about this when I search online.

He just got neutered yesterday and he's not eating anything, he's very lethargic, he threw up and he peed all over himself. So, we called the vet and she told us to give him a certain medication and he threw it up right after.

I don't know what's wrong with him. :[ Any suggestions?

My 2 year old half siamese cat is really healthy.. i take really good care of her... i got her rabies shot this past august just 3 months ago but that's the only shot she's ever had.. what other shots does she need?? i heard from a couple of people that a rabies shot isn't the only shot a cat should get.. what other ones are there?? she's really healthy too she gets baths once a week, she gets brushed everday.. she's in inside cat only.. she is fixed... she gets her ears cleaned and her teeth cleaned... is she at risk of anything??? i guess i'm just really concerned about her.. should she get another appointment for more shots???
