Yes, they don't have as many color receptors as we do. That's part of why they can see in lower light than we can.

Neither one is color blind, they just don't see the vivid colors we do. But they can see orange, red, greens and blues. Do a google search on 'are cats color blind' and you'll find vet sites that show how well cats can see colors.

No, neither cats nor dogs are truly colorblind. However, they ARE both partially colorblind. Cats can best distinguish between red-based and blue-based colors and red-based and green-based colors. However, their color vision is much duller than ours, and cannot distinguish between some similar colors very well. Set your TV's color to a lower level for an example of how a cat sees color. Dogs are the same way.

The piczels in thier eyes arent as well developed as humans but they arent colour-blind.
When cats get older (i don't know about dogs) but thier piczles fade and loose colour but never they get colour-blind unless they go blind.
