Well, everytime I put cat food on the ground, shitloads of annoying ants just swarm in my poor cat's food......is there any way besides moving it somewhere else?(they follow the food)

I assume you are feeding the cat outdoors. Get some ant spray and spray the ground around the bowl area for about four feet. Take a piece of newspaper and put it on the ground under the bowl. See if this helps to stop the ants from invading the food. Another idea is to feed the cat in the house. Good luck.

Place the food bowel in a small shallow pan of water. The pan should be just big enough to hold the bowel without the bowel touching the edges of the pan.
That way the only way for the ants to get to the bowel is through the water.
Ants drown cat gets fed.
By the way I hate cats. But if you have them you should feed them.

Um, ants aren't good so get rid of those first with those little ant trap thingys...just make sure your cat doesn't get to it accidentally...
Also, maybe you can change the type of cat food you give the cat? What do you feed it now? Wet or dry cat food?

Draw a circle around the food and water dish with chalk. a nice thick line. The ants will not cross it! Sounds weird but we've done it for years and never have any more problems. Be sure to redo it occasionally!

I grew up in the country & I learned the only way 2 get rid of the swarming ants is 2 get rid of them. You can buy the poision at wal-mart. Its clear liquid sweet that attracts them. Then they carry it back 2 the nest & they all die. YEAH, DIE ANTS DIE!

Teat the area with an insecticide spray, and use anant bait station. Solve the ants problems, and you'll solve the cat food conundrum.
