Very compasionate person with 4 cats and all share the litter box, all are siblings or babies of the mommy. I have a black tiger striped long hair and is very clean. She will not use the litter box after so many days. But she will poop in the bathtub and will hold it until I open the bathroom shower doors. What do I do? Does she have worms or leukemia? Help!

Thanks to your answers, I realize that I have not been giving my cat the correct dosage of medication. I am half way through the series of medication and she had loose stools from it last night. I am not sure if I should give her another dose tonight (she had one this afternoon) so far everything has been fine. Do you think I should give her the 2nd dosage tonight or wait and start tommaro to see if she gets through the night with no diarriah.

I adopted a 7 week old kitten and she loves to eat her kitty litter. I have tried changing types but she still eats it. Will this stop her from going to the toilet in there ( which she doesnt do yet) ????

The older cat had been warming up to the kitten, but lately she has been particularly frisky. He is declawed and she is not. The older cat was declawed as a kitten, but he is my husband's cat and I've never done this to my other cats. I have been really resistant to declawing her, but think this may be the only way. He is so miserable and I think the kitten hurts him when she tries to play. Has anyone declawed their cat? If so, is it as bad as I think it is?

I have a cat that gets a thicker, fluffier, and darker coat around the same time every year during the colder months. My other cats don't do this. I was thinking maybe some breeds grow winter coats.

My little sisters have 3 cats that I can't stand but they're called Peter (a black cat with white fur on his stomach), Michael, (a grey cat that's the same color as dust) and Wendy (a tabby). What about YOU?

We recently found a young cat with frostbitten ears who was amaciated, had a bloody nose, a broken tail, and runny stools. She also seemed to have a bad rectal infection. She was very sweet and social. She was very weak and starving. We had given her a bath and some moist food. I kindof got worried when a friend said she may have distemper and that it was fatal in cats and humans. The day after we found her we took her to an adoption center so she could be treated and placed in a new home.
What are some symptoms o distemper? she didn't seem terrebly ill- just an infection and runny stool and very hungery. They eye-gooer I see in most wild cats and most other wild cats I see have very poor fur quality. I really don't wan't the disease passed onto my pets or myself. What should I do if I suspect she had it?

I have a 3 yr old offspring of a feral cat (male) and he is not adapting to the introduction of two new kittens (10 weeks old). It's been about 4 weeks since the introduction and he still charges and swats at the kitten's. I am thinking I will have to find the kittens a new home. I think the feral is too skittish. Does anyone know about this type of interaction?

I have two 8 week old female kittens. They're both grey with a couple orange and white splashes, but one has long hair. What could I name them as a pair? Here are a few examples..
Hocus & Pocus, Xerox & Copycat, Abra & kadabra, Peeka & Boo ...

Thanks =)

I think my cat has had a nasty fall and has injured his back. There's a strange bump in it, he can't walk properly and he's in a lot of paint.
Now here's the problem. I have absolutely no money this fortnight after rent/bills and everything else, and nowhere I can really lend money from at the moment. Is there something I can do for my cat that doesn't involve costly vet bills.
I live in Newcastle, Australia.

I need to go interstate for a week or so. I have two cats that will have to be left alone, but the obvious problem is that no one will be there to clean their litter. Even if I prepare a number of litter boxes, the neighbours might complain about the stench.
I don't have friends that I am comfortable enough to ask to clean up their sh** and I can't afford to take them to a carer.
P.S. I live on 3rd floor so I can't let them out to do their thing in the garden like most people could.
