OK this is going to sound really stupid, but my kitten/cat loves McDonald happy meal toys......... she will bat the cars all over the kitten and some of the other toys that come in the meals she just carries them around from room to room throwing them in the air........... really I have noticed that the cheaper and dumber the "junk" is the more fun she will have with it..............

and of course the laser light dot she will chase around the house til the batteries go dead or she has bounced her head off stuff so much that she knocks herself out........

There are a lot of fancy cat toys our there, but the cats in our shelter always prefer simple things like small balls, the caps from pens, catnip-filled mice, the cardboard rolls from paper towels, and any kind of carboard box.

My cat loves the plastic top from milk containers. (you know the big plastic jugs). He also likes just small scraps of crumpled up paper. We have bought him every kind of toy imaginable but, he always goes for the simple stuff. His all time favorite is Christmas wrapping ribbon!!!

Pieces of string, balls of tin foil. If mint grows in your yard pick it, it's catnip it'll make them go crazy. Never leave them unsupervised with a home-made toy, if you're going to leave them alone with a toy, get one from the store that is checked for safety and quality.

I just bought a new toy for my cat today and he LOVES it and it looks so pretty. It's called Aqua Rocker. I bought it at Petsmart for $4.99. It's like a weeble wobble and a snow globe with feathers on top. Anyway, my little kitty loves it!!

Walmart carries a stick-string-feather thing for about $2. My Rommie loves it. She also loves the plastic rings from milk jugs.
