Hi, I have a dog and hes got quite a bit of hair and when I stroke him, or when he sometimes sits on my lap his hair gets on my clothes (especially jumpers and sweatshirts)

Any good tips to getting dog hairs of clothes effectively without having to keep washing the clothes?

Thanks

My kitten had fleas when we got him, and right now he is flea-free at my parent's house. My husbands house still has fleas, and we are bringing our kitten back with us to live.

What can we do to ensure that all the fleas are dead before we move him back in?! How likely is it that there is still the same amount of fleas as there was before the cat left(which was over a month ago)???

Many come on here and ask if their dog is sick. What tells you it's time to go to the vet?
How many days off its food? The dog just isnt acting right?
I dont mean injury, I mean illness. When do you figure out its more than you can handle without a vets help?

Hi

I recently purchased a small shark from my local pet shop. The guy that sold me the fish said that it was a dolphin shark. The shark is very dark on top with a silver underside and is growing at a phenominal rate.it has a large fin and a very wide head / mouth. I cannot find this fish anywhere on-line to get information on it. Can anyone identify this shark and let me know what species it is. Thanks in advance

It doesn't make sense. Does eating a pretzel clean your teeth? Do you beleive it or not. Besides feeding your cat only dry will lead to dehyrdration and urinary tract infection.

I have always been told (and i always have) that you should alternate the side of your horse on which you mount because it is better for your horse's back. There is a new trainer at my barn that watched me get on from the right side and exploded on me. I couldn't even believe the way she was speaking to a customer let alone another adult, so I didn't even get a chance to open my mouth. I just stood there and watched her walk away. I wanted to rip her a new one but I was in shock lol so here are my questions:

1)Have you ever heard the mounting thing and do you agree or disagree?

2)How should I handle the situation with this new trainer? She is the owner's niece and I can't decide how it should be handled.

thanks

I have 2 budgies (male), one is three years old while the other is almost one. The younger bird pecks the head of the other one. This has only happenned in the last three months. They do get on 80% of the time so should I try time out for the younger bird's bad behaviour.

being a service, guide, therapy, balance, seizure alert, hearing ear dog seeing eye dog? Any of those?

Which giant breed is the best and worst to be trained for one of these services? I know Great pyrenees are hard to train because they're strong willed.

I have been attempting to walk both Rory, my beloved Great Dane, and Sampson, my beautiful Black Lab mix at the same time, but they each seem to have their own “sniffing agenda”, which quite frankly, drives me crazy. Rory, seems quite content to walk for a few hundred meters before sniffing, but when he does, he cannot be moved, while Sampson seems to want to sniff each and every particle of air. I would prefer to walk them at the same time, because it is freezing cold out. I don’t want to go on two walks. I have tried to reason with them, telling them that “Daddy is not going to take you on any kind of walks if this is your attitude”, but they don’t seem to care at all about my feelings on the matter. How do I fix this annoying problem??

Whenever our tiny Chi poops on the carpet my husband picks her up by the back of her neck and puts her in the kennel for about 30-45 min. She's 1 yr old and 3 lbs. What do you guys know about this treatment ~ I want to discuss it with him but don't have any ammo.

when i bought my budgie they said she was 5-6weeks old. She had no tail and couldn't fly at all. That would make her about 4months old and for the last month she has been very bitey, especially in the cage. When i got her she loved a head scratch and would snuggle under the collar. now she will hop up on a finger but not stay long - but only outside the cage - inside she bites so hard she draws blood and actively chases my hand. Any ideas?

ok
my parents never let me have any pets growing up
and i wanted one so bad all my life
now that im in college and living on my own in my apartment
i really want a pet
im still debating if i should get a cat or a dog
at first i was gonna get a cat since half the day ill be at school and cats dont need as much attention (and more independent i heard) my friend tells me cats don't do anything and they get boring (you can't play chase or stuff like that as you can do with dogs) and cats can grow up and completely ignore you too. I am planning on adopting one and cats are alot cheaper which is better for me since I'm a student.

help me choose a cat? or a dog?

I have to know- all the people on here that ask questions only to have 30 people respond with "take your pet to the vet NOW", did you ever heed the advice and take your pet to the vet? If so, was the outcome good or bad? Just curious. I'm a vet tech and have told plenty of people on here to take the pet to the vet.
