Hi, I have a black 5 month kitten. She is very precious to me. She used to live inside our house, but she got fleas everywhere, so my parents made me put her outside. Well, it got cold here in Houston over the weekend, and I'm afraid it will stay that way since it is turning winter.

Do you know how cats take the cold weather? How much of it do they feel?

I am planning to setup an 2 gallon fish tank on my desk at office, i am not sure which fish is best suited for office.

I am looking for some fish which are active and cute. i have read about betta but feel they are little dull.

right above my cats right ear, still on the skull though, is what appears to be a puncture.

it happened about a day ago, and we first noticed because he seemed to smell badly.

he has since lost hair around the wound, and it pusses profusely.

he, also has a similar, but much smaller one, directly below it [[about two centimeters below]]

his behavior has changed from hyper, rowdy, and over all playful, to a mellow, almost apathetic attitude.

is there anything that can be done?

besides taking him to a vet?

I have a half pit bull i dont know the other half my close friend gave him to me maybe in july and i've had himi ever since. I wanted to cut his ear to give him that pitbull look and not the floppy eared thing...anyway First i just want to make it clear I have no intentions of fighting dogs, cats, ferrets, people or what ever given the nature of the breed that is usually the most common assumption. I am a nursing student who knows the value of good health I love KIBA i take him for walks everynight just to avoid encountering agressive dogs anyway... yea i don't think i'm walking him right either He is usually in from of me is that BAD ? He is also afraid of water so i am having trouble bathing him any suggestions ? Sorry I am a complete new comer in these situations but am willing to put in the work and love needed to raise him right...Eventually i want to enter him in wieght pullin comps... So... any and all advise is welcomed and greatly appreciated...thank you for taking the time.

i have a dog and i think the fleas from the dog jump over to the cat. dont have any meds for cat. cant i just use dog stuff on cat? what would happen? maybe just half of stuff on cat?

With todays overpopulation of animals why is it bad for the average Joe to breed two registered animals and sell the litter? But it's great if someone with "show quality" animals breed and then sell them for a couple of grand. Isn't this still adding to the over population problem? I understand the difference between byb and quality breeders. And what happens if someone like Paris Hilton buys a pup from a quality breeder just cause she has fame and fortune. She's still a worthless owner. Honest question for a honest answer!!! Be kind to me!!

We have tried just about everything. We found the fleas on her about 3 weeks ago, and we have had them ever since. The night we found them, we bought flea and tick bath soap, and bathed her 3 times that night. We also coated her with Frontline and put on a flea collar. Then, we removed all of our bedding, and put them in individual garbage bags to be washed. We also vaccumed everywhere we could think of.

After all this, they came back a few days later.

The second time, we did all I listed above, but we also bombed the house with insectiside cans. Once for the entire house, and twice for my brother's room, where my dog primarily sleeps. And we thought we got rid of it.

But no luck. She got them again a couple days ago, and this time, we cleaned the whole house, top to bottom. Tonight, I found two on her, and we gave her another bath. We can't keep giving her baths. She's becoming blotchy and irritable.

What do we do now?

My friends Doberman dogs life was spared today, after the Judge concluded that the Child provoked the dog to attack, by hitting and kicking the poor thing.
My Friend compensated them financial of course.

Sadly most dogs are always blamed for defending them self.
People murder people and are not euthinized in return.
But if a dog bites a person, some people are out for blood and get a power trip and want to murder the dog immediately.

Have you ever seen or heard of a situation where an innocent dog was severely provoked into defending it self from being tortured by an out of control brat that was not being supervised.

My betta fish has a hole in its body and he is still alive. He is slowly dying and I can't sleep well tonight knowing that he is like that. I know that clove oil knowcks them out, but I do not have any at the moment. What about olive oil? Answers fast please!!!

I have a one year old Chihuaha and she has never seen the cold. She is always under blankets and wearing sweaters. At night she is crated and has blankets and a bed in her kennel, but she is still always cold. Does anyone have any ideas on what else to do? I have a mini heater, but I don't want to leave it on during the night. I don't know what else to do, I have been letting her sleep with me because I feel so bad. But I don't get much sleep (I'm scared that I'll roll over and squish her. I've never had a small dog before, so I've never had to deal with this. My great dane isn't too picky about where she sleeps :)

I work at a vet clinic and I see labs all the time. They are just the best dogs in the world! I mean sure they are hyper but just so sweet. I would love to own a lab but I can not afford a dog right now. When I can I will be getting one. Do any of you own a lab?

Please serious kind respecatble answers.. Here is the scenario.. Am breeding my purebred with another purebred. He already had connected with her 4 times. The neighbors dog was let to roam around loose and got attached to my purebred once. What are the chances of my purebred getting pregnant with the neighbors mutt? My cat had kittens 8 wks. ago we have 1 left and i can't get him to stop nursing sometimes he will eat soild food...the mommy cat is so skinny and not looking to good i took her to the vet and they told me to feed her kitten food its still not helping shes still weak i love the kitten and want to keep him!! what can i do to help the mother cat??

ok a couple days a go my turtle would just lay on the basking platform basically all day but when i would feed her she would get up and go crazy and eat which made her active all night. but now she is very lethargic and skiddish(hope i spelled it right) i dont know what is going on. i keep the heater at 80 and the water is at 82 i used to feed her reptomin but i was told that it has too many veggies so now i feed minnows and bloodworms she perked up the first day i gave them to her but now wether shes in the water or on land she is very lethargic and skiddish i dont know what to do she doesnt even try to get away when i pick her up now please help

im no very old, but i can easily prove that i am responsible to take care of a cat all by myself. my mom thinks that after the excitement wears off, shes gonna end up taking care of it. She wants a dog, and 4 members in my family are allergic. i looked up all of these allergey shampoos and filters, so that problem was solved, but they still dont want one. weprobably have enough money to get one, but they still dont let me have my own cat. im just annoyed because i dont exactly have any friends at school and all of my other 8 siblings pick on me and im the middle child. PLEASE ANSWER!

Has anyone had any experience with the K-9 carts (wheelchair type devices for dogs with weak hips)? I'm thinking about getting one for my 10 year old German Shepherd and would like to know if anyone has ever used one and how well their dog adjusted to it. Thank you.
